Test drove RALLIART today!!
Lets see if i can try and explain this again(unless im missing something) the dealer is selling you the RA for 24. and giving you 5 for your bmw. the 5k they are giving you does not come off the selling price of the RA. the dealer will send the 5k to whomever you have the bmw financed with, meaning you will have a remaining balance of 3k on the bmw. that remaining 3k then goes on top of your 24k RA making it 27k.

^^^wrong!!! The 5K is mine cause its the value of the car i own.. The 3K negative equity is the part of the BMW i dont own .. i am choosing to use my 5K of BMW value and subtract it from the 24k cost of the RA - But i still have to pay the 3K negative equity which roles into tHE RA financing as 24 - 5 = 19 + 3 = 21..get it?
it would by 27 if i had to pay someone the 5k that the BMW is with but im not im trading the car!!

lol im getting confused now and i used to sell cars lol so you owe 8 on the bmw correct? lets say hypothetically they give you 8k for the bmw does that mean you would get the RA for 16k?
Ok... I owe 8 on the BMW but its value is 5 so I own that 5 and only owe 3 wen i chose to trade it in. so only 3k of the 8k is added to the RA cost and 5k is subtracted from it... get it?
I think you are double dipping your trade value, and forgetting your payoff. IF you were buying the RA without trading anything in at all they would sell it to you for 21K OTD right?
But you have a BMW that you owe 8K on, and its only worth 5K to Rick Case right?
8-5=3K left over.
That 3K is rolled in on top of your loan. 21+3=24K the amount financed on the RA.
Or let's look at it this way:
21K for RA
- 5K trade allowance on BMW
=16K subtotal, (this is the amount you are taxed on, btw)
+ 8K loan payoff to BMW lienholder
= 24K loan amount
A lot of people don't get this, and I've had a few people storm out angry accusing me or my salespeople as being liars and cheaters, but its basic math. I wish everybody had to take a course in high school on how to buy a car. The world would be a better place.

No ...24 out the door. but i would have to come out of pocket the 5K that is coming from my BMW value..
went to rick case mitsu in gwinette atlanta ga and test drove a base ralliart that was orange metalic in color..
Im coming from a 323i BMW with a slow 179 hp I6 engine that is supper smooth and reliable..
The ralliart looks great in person much better than any pic i have seen. pictures just cannot capture this car right at all..lol
So i do the walk around look in trunk engine bay etc. then he say hop in lets go see what it does.. i put it in drive and pressed the accelerator and damn the car jumped forward cause i did not know that it does not need to be pressed as had as my BMW teh throttle response was instant and strong very lively. So on some back roads it gets to 45 real quick with a nice sound then breaks well ... On the freeway i did not ever hit 4K rpms lol but the car was at 85 MPH too damn fast for me.. Smooth strong acceleration that kept pulling.. So then we excited and did the hairpin off ramp thing.. I took it at 65 mph and the car was planted and stable
Im sold .. i feel that the ralli art is perfect for me looks great performance is more than i need but not more than i can handle.. and its affordable..
They offered me the thing for 21K out the door..lol but i was not there to buy .. i have 12 months left to pay off the BMW.. but my next car will be a ralli art with sun and sound..

if you are buying a 09 ralliart you can get the sound but no sun. the sound comes in the recaro package. the gts however has the sun and sound.
how about just getting any job. That seems a MUCH bigger problem then what you could hypothetically get as a trade in. I know that the US economy and job market is in the crapper but there must be some jobs out there (get a crappy job just to get by). Man, I'm really glad I live in Canada.
