I used to drive an 88 Supra turbo, and stock I was running high 14's modded I was running high 12's. But the supra, even though it's a 2 door is bloody heavy, it's 500lbs heavier than the ralliart, and with no turbo it runs a low 16 second 1/4 mile, you'll blow it away.

its THAT much heavier? I know the most recent supras (93-98) were behemoths, but the twin turbo made up for it.

the curb weight for the 87 supra non turbo is 3468 LBS, with a 0-60 of 7.7 seconds and a 1/4 mile of 16.0

WIRING HARNESS! AMP! HELP!

For those of you talking about gutting the interior... I believe that every 100 lbs is a tenth of the quarter mile time... I can't say how much our interior ways but everything seems pretty light... still if you gut everything you might cut like 3 tenths off, which is quite a bit in serious racing

Don't do ANY makeshift mods, just wait until you have the money to do it right. Stock Non-Turbo 88 Supras run a 16 1/4 (brand new), and I can garuantee he doesn't have the same hp that the car had when it was new.

You will hand him his a$$!! Unless you're a horrible driver : )

if you wanna practice launching..lower you tire pressure down to about 25 psi..after that launch around 2500 to 3000 rpms...i usually launch at about 2700..u shouldnt light up your tires..you'll spin them a little bit but you'll grip right away. oh and if your really going to race on the track..make sure you have a good reaction time!

haha...i plan on going out there anyways and just having some fun...just because i can! i wont even get to race him now... he went and took the car back to the owner using that whole 72 hr. buyers remorse crap. if i was the dude i would be pissed if some 16 yr. old bought my car, trashed the engine, then made me buy it back..oh well...now he's looking at a 300 ZX...those are pretty nice...
