Can these actually be trusted? Seat Belts for only $20

saw these on ebay and wondered if anyone has any experience with them. Do they actually meet DOT spec?

haha! dude...i bought some almost exactly like that just because i was bored...nothing to do where i live...the stitching sucked REALLY bad but we had it re-stitched and then my dad bought them from me and put them in his NSX...i wouldn't say its worth it though...i wouldn't do it over, luckily my girlfriends mom knew someone who would stitch them for free...otherwise it would have been about 50 bucks...they werent even vinyl stitched!!! is was cotton! WTF! haha but its not worth it

I actually have them. They hold good when you tighten them straps down. I use them when we go sliding around in parking lots lol. You have to rig em up good though. I bolted them to the seat bracket hold in the center console and where the regular seat belt hole is.

I won't touch a seat belt sold on ebay. I build seats everday for the honda odyssey. And half the people knew how musch went into just the seats of their car. I mean how could you trust something that could be stitch up in some sweatshop in mexico. Altough they may have alot of pride in what they do, but quality counts for alot.
