No, you didn't miss it, I didn't say. I hesitate to answer, because people who drive the cars I do are usually stereotyped in a manner not fitting for me. But, since you ask, I drive a Cavalier Z24, and it runs pretty decent 1/4 mile times on juice. I never ran a 50 shot, just 75-100. On the 75 it runs 13.8's on my everyday street tires, and on the 100 shot it runs 13.7's on the same tires and 13.3's on the drag radials. I'll be putting a header on this summer and practicing my launch to hopefully break high 12's, but we'll see. the rest of the car is basically stock, just a Spec stage II clutch to hold the 100 shot and a K&N drop in filter.

a decent shot... is a shot not very safe... nitto drag and internals are pauter on the rods and arias pistons (forged)and phenolic spacer, home made, not very good but does the trick....
ported, polish and reduced head and ported intake manifold, just bored the tbody...
fuel system custom made.....

Yep, thanks for treating me with utter contempt by highjacking my thread as soon as you find out I drive a Cavalier. Maybe you guys aren't as level headed as I previously thought.

Your times are also going to be a factor of your altitude when you drag. I didn't know gateway (my only local track now) was about a mile high. I was very disapointed to only run a 14.8 w/ 75 wet shot and bfg drags. I felt I should have been close to a full second quicker. Part of it was my inexperience at a "real" drag strip and the other part was only getting a few good runs in. The reason people hijack a thread is because well, look at the very top of this page. It reads Lancer Ralliart Forums. This is a forum for ralliart owners and in the past a lot of people with a variety of cars have jumped in here and started talking smack about our choice of cars. I'm not saying that you have, I am just letting you know that other people get defensive about their cars too! The ralliart is more or less a sleeper car despite some people "dressing" up their cars to stand out. Let's face it, 4 doors without a hood scoop is not going to get near the attention as a 2 door import. Most of us like it that way. Just my .02 worth.

Yep, very good post, thank you. I get your point about it being a Ralliart forum, and that's why I was asking about Ralliarts. I'm not here to talk smack, which is why I wasn't even going to mention what kind of car I drive. One thing though... You gotta realize that any specialized car forum has members who don't own the kind of car the forum was intended for, but we can all learn from each other and get along just as well. Hijacking the thread is immature and I don't believe I did anything to warrant that response.

Also, you won't catch me bashing the Ralliart, I think Mitsu did a great thing by introducing MIVEC. I wish GM would do something along that line instead of just Vvti. 2 lobes ARE better than one. Then you can have variations in overlap AND lift. So there's my two cents on the RA.

i miss where the tread was hijacked? everything everyone has asked was based on the first post? evilralliart had a question for Mivecjohn and he awnsered?

For the most part what I have seen there isn't a lot of by and smack talked to people on this forum. It seems to me that a lot of people on the forum try to get respect. I know I do.
