Last time I went for the sqwuicky sound, they replaced my bushings in the rear ..took 3 months to get them (they were being tested in alaska to make the sure the problem wouldnt occur anymore); yesterday he told my girlfriend that one of the rear suspension has a broken "bot/screw" (sp?) and they have to replace the part. I dont know much about it since its my girlfriend who went to the dealer with the car; they ordered the new part but I guess I'll have more infos once I'll go there myself.

A bolt gave way!!! Didn't you say they had to work on the rear suspension earlier this year? They may have torqued it way too much (impact gun work often produces some nasty results)...

It's surprising nonetheless... and a bit worrying too! I hope we don't begin having that kind of problem too often. It smell like cheaply sourced parts to me.

Im having this issue too.

Braking somewhat harder than usual and as the car shifts its weight from front to back I get the loud knocking/clunk noise.

Just started recently.
Im sure it didnt help when I threw it in reverse, floored it and slammed it into drive Damn boyfriends make me so mad - hahahha.

I had a sound on the front suspension. I have a Ralliart with 4G63 engine, I live in Romania and this is how is sold here. So my front springs had a clunk noise when I hit bumps and sometimes when I break hard or take a curb. I was at the service and they told me that mud and little stones were in the rubber part where the spring is fixed. I don't know how is in English the word. They cut that rubber part a little so the mud would not stay there. Also they put some rubber tubes on the springs. Now it's silent.

^ yep, my dealer said the same thing (edmonton, alberta)
for 50 bucks, he says, he'll cut the rubber lip and clean it out.
I cleaned it my self 2 weeks ago and it hasnt knocked since.

Gravel under the springs is one of the most common ralliart clunking problems.

This is what they say it is, but it has not resolved the problem for alot of us here. I've had this problem for 3 years now, and I clean out that stupid tray whenever it's weather permitting.

If it's clean and still making the noise, check to see if the spring is seated properly in the base of the strut.
