CF Vs. Canadian Winters?
Hey guys,
I'm thinking of buying a CF hood and I was just wondering if I had to swap it back with the stock hood during winter?
Seems like it would be a PITA to have to change it every year.

I take Canadian Winter in 3 rounds.... KO... uppercut..
To be honest it should only take maybe an hour at the most and you only have to change it 2x a year... figure...
365 days a year x 16 hours a day..
leaves you 5840 hours... subtract two for the hood... thats still 5838 hours to **** around with
I'd rather be safe than sorry.. just change it.

While this is true some people don't have the storage for a hood. Guys that live in a appartment may find that option difficult. BUT, if you have the means, I too suggest taking the hour or two to swap it.

I lived in Thunder Bay, On and our winters are identical to those of Winnipeg. Altus, Rocketman just switch the hoods over come winter man. I've seen quite a few that got junked because of winter's in the NWO. Whether it's a high quality hood or not just switch it. Takes 2 seconds.

Alright, well if I get the hood I suppose I'll just swap it come winter.
The hood might take a bit longer then I expected though, I just bought an evo8 spoiler and set up a tint appointment for my car. =D

This also means cars not plugged in with a good block heater and/or battery blanket won't start, and any ground effects or non metal hoods may become brittle and snap under pressure, though good carbon fiber should stand up to the cold. The roads also get extremely slick so chances of getting your beautiful aftermarket body parts smashed to pieces in an accident is also pretty high. I wouln't want to risk it here as there are too many high risk issues of our 'winterpeg' winters. Hell I tore off the front lip on my car just this past winter pulling out of my back lane.
