I won't. I would like my next car to be AWD and a bit more functional. WRX wagon is what comes to mind. As much as I would love to have an Evo, they're just too ineconomical for me at this point in life. Maybe in 10 years I'll pick up an "old" Evo as a fun project car.

Also, for reasons Mysz pointed out, my next car will be used. A new car just hasn't been worth the premium.

If I had it to do over again....I would find a slightly used WRX. (Blasphemy, I know!)

I will probably wait for the new 2008 Ralliart Lancer to decide if I will get one of those.....but will wait for a used one if I do that.

i have an '05 Ra...drop-in k&n, vg, and yokohama advans- same as on evo....i LOVE this car..can't understand why anyone wouldn't..it's fast, crazy torque, great handling..i get comments all the time from strangers..most driving hondas or lame se-r's etc..i will own nothing but ralliarts from here on out..keep this one forever and buy a second one in about 2yrs if they have a turbo option ...evo's are cool but a waste of hp etc for normal driving..it is basically a racecar with enormous insurance rates....my wife drives a wrx imprez..she prefers my ra...there's the bottom line fer ya.

i have changed my mind from my original post. After dealing with Mitsubishi Corp. and my local dealership I will not go with Mitsubishi again. They have been rude and inconsiderate. When the problem with my car arose, they were quick to blame it on me and have not let down. I will be selling my Ralliart as soon as all the problems are taken care of. I will go with a 2006 Subaru 2.5i or 2007 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V

thanks for the reply everyone. it's almost in 1:1 ratio where people would/wouldn't purchase the RA again. *...surprised*

as much as people love their RA, they still perfer the AWD Subaru or even a used WRX. well, at least people are not wanting to purchase it again due to personal reasons rather than the RA not being reliable.

i think i am still leaning towards buying the RA, but it doesn't have sun + sound package...

You won't miss the "sound" part of the S&S package when you rip out the factory deck and speakers three weeks into owning it and replace them with aftermarket stuff. The sunroof is nice, but I'm not convinced it's $1500 worth of nice.

I am saving up for a house so no EVO's. Simply looking for something practical (4DR), reliable and yet, has a kick to it.

I think overall, users on here have been happy with RA's reliability. I hope the parts won't be hard to come by (if there is ever a need for warranty replacement), as there are only a handful of Mitsubishi dealerships in Toronto). I sure hope the dealership won't pull anything such as, we will not cover your warranty because you have not done your oil changes here...etc.

CF-Ninja- read your thread. hope everything works out for you. i think you were the only person who had to encounter that problem no?

There was another case like CF-N's in Puerto Rico. I think there were pics posted of it in CF-N's thread. The dealer down there didn't give the other person the same run-around that he's getting, though. They just gave the guy a new car and sent him on his way.

there have been 3 cases that i actually know of and know the owners

as for the thread.. no i wouldnt buy one again.... allthough i miss it a lot
i like to mod and this car consumes a lot of "mind food" and $ to get nice numbers at the track and at the dyno... as a daily drive is the only thing is worth having it for....

im in yoda mode so if you do not understand me to hell you must go....... lol
