Bumper Tap

So yesterday I was driving down a double lane street and some guy 2 cars infront of me pulls a quick U and the dude infront of me slams on my break. Now we are going 45, and I freaked on accident and slammed on my breaks. Of course my tires locked up and I slide into his bumper at 15-20 miles per hour. So I was really dreading the situation, and when I got out of the car i'm was totally amazed. His car was a POS with a metal bumper and had no dents on his car. My liscence plate cracked and my plastic gills were off the car. I had no damage whatsoever and when I went home to put back on the grills just one plastic piece that was hold the bumper firmly up was broken off, but the bumper isn't sagging at all. I'm glad that our cars can take a punch in the front at 15. Back on the roads for me .

Take a look underneath the bumper looking up to make sure your rebar isn't bent or anything. Otherwise, lucky guy

This is a prime example on why our government requires that rebar that irks some people so much. I believe, without it, your damage would've been much more than a broken grill.

Yeah everything is in good condition except for that one bumper part that I describled before. Might get a new body kit for my car anyways.

Guess his car isn't such a POS if he had no dents huh? Ah the good ol' days of metal bumpers. And your BRAKES shouldn't have locked up, we have anti-lock.

i got cut off in the walmart parking lot and mine locked up...and then about 3 months later i was having a problem with the ABS kicking in to soon, pretty much anytime i turned while braking it would kick in...the dealership said that was normal...i was too pissed to really do anything about it...i took them for test and he was like..."oh that your ABS at work" and i was like... "hey well when i need it, it don't work!" but they looked anyways and said nothing was wrong with it and then charged me 50 bucks to take my tire off and check the brakes...

Speaking of bumper taps, last week on my way to work, I was on the Interstate. Traffic came to a screaming halt as it always does for a half-mile before construction here. I was in the center lane, and some b***h in a Volvo came up in the left lane with her right turn signal on. I pulled forward a bit, so she could cut in behind me. I watched in my mirror as she leaned over to make eye contact with a trucker in the right lane, as she wanted to get over to the exit coming up. The trucker stopped to let her over, and she bumped into my car TWICE while trying to get over to the right lane. The second time, she threw her car in reverse, backed up a bit, and finally made it around. She never even looked at me.

I backed up a little, and went through the same gap she'd gone through. Down the breakdown lane to the exit. Through the toll booth, through the stoplight at the intersection. I had to follow her until she got stuck at another traffic light, and run up and knock on her window. She denied hitting my car at first, but then said she *may* have, she was paying more attention to the truck in the right lane. I think I convinced her when I reminded her of throwing it in reverse after the second bump. Then she asked if there was any damage. I said I didn't know, I had been too busy chasing her down to look.

There were a couple scuffs on my bumper, but nothing the buffer couldn't take care of.

F**king people these days.
