Question RALLIART jumps and skips

Im wondering how many of you with the ralliart find that when accelerating over bumps causes the car to jerk quite a bit. Could it be the tires? I still have stock tires, will be changing them soon hopefully. Or maybe I need the LSD? I try to keep the pedal steady, but it still feels like its skipping the tires. I know the suspension is sport tuned, so im just trying to find the weakest link here. Thanks for any help, and if you need more info let me know.

Hey RAMTL05, check us our site for Quebec. It's http://www.clubmitsubishiquebec.com/.

For your problem I don't know, I don't speed up on bumps. Maybe others can help you out.

Cool ill check out that site.

As for speeding up on bumps...well i dont do it purposefully. But you know our Montreal roads. They suck @$$! Theres a particular road driving to work that’s almost off-roading.

we dont have much wheel travel but we do have a good bit of torque. put the 2 together, maybe add some wet roads, and u'll have this =) stickier tires would help, but not much more we can do. but its kinda fun if u ask me

only think u may wana look into if ur serious about rallyx or other performance crazy suspension issues, would be the progress coilover set. might help stiffen up the reaction and get the tires planted faster.

I know what you are talkin about and I get that too... there isn't really anything you can do about it... it's not a traction problem you just get a little airborne... You're roads must be like ours...

i get that too. It's nothing. I notice it when i accelarate from a light. SOmetimes you get a bumpy intersection and when the car is acceling you get the wheels hopping on bumps a bit and the torque causes them to easily slip up when they're hopping on bumps.

What TuffGuy said that I said. Elimitating the clutch restrictor will get rid of the bounciness than you get over bumps. The SS clutchline is pretty inexpensive, and there's a good how-to for installing it.

its not touchy, im sick of these people who cant control a little torque.
its called RESPONSIVE.

keep your heel on the floor and press the pedal with the ball of your feet. If you can't do that, you need to raise your seatback and stop trying to drive like a rapper.

well, what i've noticed, if i'm taking off in first (not launching, just going) and i hit some bumps, my foot bounces off the pedal and then hits it again, due to the rough ride of the car. so, what i did was removed the clutch restrictor. this didnt completely fix it so i loosened the throttle cable to give a little more deadzone. still a bit of jerkiness. so then i tucked the throttle cable under the vacuum hose comin off the valve cover and i get no more jerk takin off in first over bumpy @$$ roads.

i dont know if it's not being able to control the torque. i think it's just a combination of quick throttle response and rough ride of the car.

o, and btw, not everyone drives like a "rapper".
