Few pics of my RA doin AUTO-X

last weekend I went to an autox event. I must say the RA is one of the top performers. If only I had R compounds I'd be close to the fastest times. Coilover teins take the body roll away. There is only limited roll in the pics, but at the next event I will have better pics on hard cornering.

What other cars were there, what cars did better than yours, and what cars did worse?

I took that vid. I have in car vid of the same event for me. Otter has all those mods to his car, I was stock at the time and I beat him by a full second.

I'm pretty lucky I don't hit many cones at all. I've had other members of my club drive my car and they all comment on how good it "turns in" This is awesome cause the car does what you want when you want. This is why the RA has so much handling potential. My club has different rules for car classing. We don't use the SCCA rules cause there are not enough cars that come out to each event. There would be too few competitors in each class. They class cars in A,B,C or D. They allocate each vehicle a point value between 0-100. Lets say A class is 70pts and above and you car gets 60 points. You can modify your car and gain points my adding suspension, tires etc. My RA is in B class, but I compete against some tough competetion cause there are some pretty fast cars using R compound tires. I'm on street tires and I don't have a chance is winning with these tires

Here is the link to my clubs results. They cannot mention the car name or owner as these are public results. I'm number 25. MY fastest time was a 54.106 with a 2 second penalty for a cone. I would of had a 52.106. Bad luck i guess.

My class B is very competitive as you can take a Neon and build it up to compete in B class, this is a Neon with full suspension, engine mods and most of all R compound. Same with base civics. THey both start off in D class and the mod the crap ou of them and kick my *** by a few seconds. In SCCA this does not happen cause R compounds do not run against street tires. I did an SCCA event and I finished 12th out of 40. Top car was a Mazaspeed with the new Hankook rs-2. I was 2 seconds off. THe RA is more competitive than people give it credit form If I was a good drive I could have been top 5 or better. I just started using left foot braking and my times are better already.

here are the results from this one:

I am glad I did an event completely stock. It made me understand how much understeer there is with the RA stock. I did get a four wheel drift going around a couple of turns....which I thought was pretty cool, but not better for time.
Next mod for me is the rear sway bar and perches to stiffen up the rear end.

I actually did an auto-x when i first got the car, I just never mentioned it because if you would have seen the video of me driving, you would have thought I was drunk. I have no room to talk.

Cool pics... I'm gonna start tryin' out a couple different leagues around here and see what I like. By SCCA rules, I understand that a stock RA is placed under H Stock, is this what you guys have been placed in? If so, what kinda competition have you come short of? There's one league I don't stand a chance in 'cause they combine all stock classes lower than C Stock and put them in one mixing pot called Stock 2. Anybody seen which cars tend to show up at the top in certain classes?
