go turbo or go srt-4?

what do u guys think? should i go turbo or get a srt-4. I live in orange California and cops over here are really strict. if i were too drop a turbo kit on my ralliart and somehow get pulled over and the cop told me too pop my hood , i would be totally screwed. so i dunno what do u guys think , should i take the risk and turbo my ralliart or should i get a srt-4 and not have too worry about cops?

Personally i hate the srt-4. I hate dodge. Its ugly, and a wanna-be FWD evo. But yeah, if your worried about legal turbo, get it. Mopar has a wide selection of parts for the srt-4. You can make them quite fast. But all in all, i hate them. I HATE THEM. ok

Get an SRT4. It's a much wiser financial decision.

SRT-4 you get your warranty, etc. However, a turbo ralliart is fast and handles a hell of a lot better (only driven the SRT-4 and not a turboed ralliart, but assuming would be fair). But, to each their own.

Ask member "project#69"

He had an srt4 and traded it in for a ralliart, Im trying to remember, but he said the SRT4 was giving him non-stop problems, in and out the dealership.

Also, ask "mitsubishimanny" aswell.

Personally, I wouldn't turbo or buy a turbo FWD vehicle, because of traction and the continuos tire wear. Doesn't matter of the turbo is bolt on or factory stock... cops will STILL bust you and make up stuff... if you have any type of modded tuner car and the cops pull you over, YOU LOSE.

I have a FWD turbo vehicle with about 300whp and I do have traction and do not suffer from continuous tire wear.

With that being said, it is possible to have a lot of fun with a FWD turbo car. But if you drive around like a maniac doing burnouts and you are going to wear stuff out, that goes with anything. I think it would be cool to have a turbo Ralliart, but a SRT-4 is going to be fun too, warranty is only good if you leave it stock, but what's the fun in that? Maybe a CARB approved kit is coming.

umm, well for someone that doesnt live in the usa, I think buying ANY domestic car is a BAD financial devision., It's not that I hate neons (yes, thats all a srt4 is) I just dislike all american cars.

On a side note I found a snikkers commercial realy funny along time ago, It was this guy that bought a "hugh" SUV (almost like a hummer) and keeped on saying how good it is, how bad it is on gas, takes up both lanes, and he mentioned that it was an import. now I found that funny when most of the new automobiles, 500/charger and what ever else came out of that same cookie mold are quiet big, And I still dont understand how hte usa can keep making a station wagon popular (magnum). ohh and the punch line to that whole commercial was to eat a snikkers so you dont make a big mistake.

What? How can they ticket you for anything when you're parked, except for maybe HOW or WHERE you're parked? Were you still on the street, or in a lot or driveway? If you weren't on the street, those tickets shouldn't hold up.

believe it or not, gay enough that id rather have a turbo ralliart running 12 or 13's than his 11 second neon. sorry?
