I think a RalliArt TURBO would be sick...FWD cars are not bad with forced induction...its having the right amount of power and getting it to the ground. There are quite a few turbo'd hatches running aroud my area and they hold their own farily well because many of them are set up correctly and are driven very well. SRT-4's are a dime a dozen, a turbo'd RalliArt would be cool IMHO...I have a buddy who just got a Scion tc and it is capable of handling boost, its FWD, and if set up correctly, a RalliART would too! Good luck either way
get the road/race turbo for ur ralliart, u will enjoy it trust me. a N/A turbo vs a stock turbo srt-4 u will be more happy with the powerband in ur ralliart. plus u got mivec...lucky ***.

A turbo'ed ralliarts powerband will NEVER compare to this...

Also, look at the skidpad and slalom numbers on the ralliart compared to the srt. The ralliart isn't even close.
Again, another internet spread lie about handling. You guys forget that the Neon has deep roots in SCCA since its birth. The ACR dominated its class with over 20 National titles in Solo and Road Racing.

I know a few people with SRT-4s. they are fast no doubt. They have REALLY strong engines and trannys and can take a crap load of abuse. With that said I have also heard they have some electrical problems. Power windows and A/C are the areas usually affected and need work. Usually when the dealer fixes the problems it is o.k. but warranty work is still a pain in the *** to deal with. It is your call, I am not going to dog the performance of an srt-4, I looked at one myself like many people here did. It is your call.

Was there ever a time when american cars where well built?!??!

And if you don't bolt a suspension under it, prepare to die... the thing handles like a pick-up truck and goes really fast. Do I have to explain what that combinations ammounts to?

I didn't even know this was a serious question.. lol. Come to the motor city and just see how the SRT-4 holds up. Seems to me like a whipped up design just to have the availability of a turbo car to compete with evo's and subaru's for the young kids to drive, but they lack quality. Nearly every person that has bought one in my area has had serious problems. Everything from the trans, to engine blocks cracking, to the cheap rubbermaid interior falling apart. And even though the lancer econobox interior is nothing to glorify, it still blows the srt out of the water. I've driven those srt's, yes they are fast, but I wouldn't even trade my slow lancer for it, because I know in 3 years, even if I babied it, the srt would have more serious problems than I could deal with. And for the modded ones with increased horsepower, lets just say the engine is in peices right now after less than a year (2 of my friends' srt-4's with around 375hp). They don't hold up very well at all under high hp. The 4g63 engine has proven itself year after year in the evo, so I don't even see why the two are being compared, plus its awd. (not anything in reference to the ralliart cause it has a 4g69, except the quality of mitsu cars compared to dodges)
I would definetly turbo the ralliart. With mivec+turbo, you will be satisfied, plus you don't have to pay the insurance of a turbocharged car. RRM's turbo kit will work out perfect, plus you know they will be there to back you up and help you troubleshoot. RRM's turbo kits have been proven to be reliable over 2 or 3 years now?? correct? You don't want to lose the money of selling your ralliart, only to get something more expensive with higher insurance, and poorer quality.

Anyway spOrk, drive both cars (a stock turbo Neon and a turboed RA) and decide for yourself. Just be sure to take a couple of tight corners before putting your money on the Dodge...

Nicely summed up...

I just cant get past the looks of the NEON srt4. And the interior..... wow, how sad in that picture. You must be really desperate for a turbo car. I agree with the other guys, pick up an older Evo... 10x the car, 20x the styling.
