ive got an idea for those of us who want es/ls tails

ive seen 2 or 3 guys repaint their foglights w/ stained glass window spraypaint, would this work w/ our tails?

just tape off everything you dont want painted, apply a couple coats of red stained glass window paint, voila??

think it would work?

I don't think so - on small areas it's okay, but on a large taillight it would run and streak and overall look no-so-good. I'd say overlays as well are the way to go.

For every Evo owner that says that a Ralliart shouldn't have an Evo VIII spoiler because it's not the car it came with - those same people who put Evo IX rear diffuser bumpers on their cars. Basically it state that car modification limited to whatever people think is "right" is stupid, and just because a part isn't 'meant' for a specific vehicle doesn't mean it has any less right to be used. meh.

i figure you could probably do both, but for the ease of this conversation, just spraypainting the outside.

I duno about those Evo owners, but I say the Ralliart (or any Lancer for that matter) shouldn't have an Evo wing because it's FWD. It's useless rice.

But that's why I try to stay out of Show and Shine.

you are correct about the uselessness, this is why my evo 8 replica makes no downforce whatsoever and its all show. however the real oem evo 8 spoiler is slanted and used for downforce and is where it belongs,,,,,on the evo.
