It's time for me to start modifying my RA, but i'm curious where to start. what would be your suggestions for a first mod?
I'm thinking cool-air intake/SRI and probably a catback or axleback exhaust.

yeah....those are the cheapest mods that give a increase in performance....after that....depends on ur $$$ situation.

u guys dont know anything , u should get a 3'' cat back ....... , u know , just in case u go turbo in 2 years ...... (of course ull loose a lot of torque but think about it in 2 years....) ..... just joking but heh i heard that b4 from a guy that had one and lost torque but he didnt care cause its just in case he goes FI ......(been 2 years and yet hes still broke) , too funny

what pulley is joesevo8? is it increased in circumference or just lighter?

I believe Joe's pulley weighs 0.85 Lbs, where as the stock pulley weighs something around 4 Lbs. With an increase of 7 hp and 9 ft. lb of torque, I think it should be one of the first mods, if not the first on the list.

also, I am having some trouble with my steering, and I have a thread or two about it. Does anyone know if the EVO's steering system is bolt on compatible with ours?

on another note, i'm not so sure i'm happy with the crank pulley idea. I've been building small-block mopars for about 4 years now and the thought of letting those harmonic vibrations loose on the crank just unsettles me. yes, i know you can't feel any virbations, but they are there and they're weakening your crank. i'll wait for the long term tests to be done (10-15k+)
isn't there one intake that can be both a CAI/SRI? does it have a bypass so it's not hydrolock happy in puddles?
what's the best choice for a catback? i don't want something superloud or anoying, i'd prefer something rather quiet but free-flowing

Injen CAI can be switched being CAI and SRI, and the AEM bypass will work with it. Don't bother wasting your money on a catback exhaust system, unless you intend to go turbo, it's unnecessary on our cars. If you just want a different sound, have a muffler shop build you an axleback, or buy one ready to go from RRM. The only other major obstruction in our exhast is the downpipe/catalytic converter, but you don't want to be loud, so that might not be an option for you.Originally Posted by 05 Silver RA

I believe I was reading on injens website and theres has a junction in it to make it either short ram or complete CAI. Sorry, I was just passively mentioning I had already asked for help on the issue and I think that a quicker ratio steering system is a good first mod depending on what you are doing with the car. (not exactly normal, but something to think about)

its funny none of you mentioned any suspension mods... wuts the point of being fast if you can't handle? i'd go with some new tires for sure, and some springs
