TWM Short Shifter - Awesome part

I've actualy had this short shifter in my car for a while but the other day I drove my buddy's RA with the stock shifter and it made me realize how much better the TWM shifter is so I thought I'd write a little review

The throws on the TWM are WAAAYYY shorter, you can shift with the flick of your wrist now...probably half as long as the stock shifter. They also give you new aluminum bushings that go under the shifter assembly. these things take all of the rubbery feeling out of the shifter and really make it feel more mechanical.

It's also worth mentioning that I got awesome service when I bought the part. I ordered straight off of www.twmperformance.com and had a couple of questions. My e-mails were all answered within MINUTES of sending them and the part arrived two days after I ordered it.

Overall I'd give this part a 9/10 and the company a 10/10 for service and friendlyness

Check them out if you're looking for a new shifter.

Wow..makes me want to install my B&M shortie right now, it didn't look it would do much to the throw but I should give it a shot. Those are cheaper and come with the bushings already, thats a great deal.

Let me know what you think of the B&M, I asked around quite a bit before I bought the TWM and it came very highly recommended by a bunch of guys on a Canadian forum I visit.

Wow... those are some expensive shift knobs... and they are all metal... do they get really hot? The short shifter looks nice... especially because it comes with bushings...

The shift knobs are premium parts and are weighted which creates an awesome shift feel, they really smooth out the whole shift throw since their added weight carries lots of momentum.

The bushings are a great addition to the short shift kit as well, they remove the slop created by the stock rubber bushings for a very solid and direct shift feel.
