subaru legacy???

my brother test drove one of these with the 250hp motor and said it was fast. i'm sure its faster that the RA, but why is the wrx only 230hp. wouldnt the legacy be faster?

by the way i lined up against a mustang cobra with an older chick driven. heck she revved up before the light went green and we took off. i didnt think she would. even through first then all i saw was tail lights. i was really just seeing if this chick would run the car. pretty funny. that dodge V10 srt truck pulled me more than this stang. thats another story. just cant find any civics that want to race. to bad i wasnt on the hayabusa, me and that cobra could really have had some fun.

any info on the lagacy would be cool. thanks.

I used to work at Subaru and I drive them everyday. The new Legacy has DOHC 2.5 250hp H4 and new WRX has DOHC 2.5 230hp H4. WRX is faster than the Legacy due to the power-weight ratio. But the Legacy spools faster since it has smaller turbo than the WRX.

according to the website, the legacy is 3365lbs @250hp which is 13.46lb/hp and the wrx is 3192lbs @230hp which is 13.87lb/hp. so on paper the legacy is faster. any performance times on the legacy?

You can easily tell the difference if you're actually driving it in person . Trust me, WRX is faster, the Legacy is quick at the start, but the boost drop at high RPM.

hey bone. I'd suggest you leave now before you **** off some admins. You're not allowed to talk about street racing on this forum. Also show some respect to our forum. You are a newbie and you are coming in here acting like an idiot, telling us to eat sh@t. Make a more intellegent post without talking about street racing if you want real information.

Who knows, but the Legacy GT is a great car, very quick and handles well for a relatively big 4 door.

I agree, but the site can't condone street racing and therefore no one on here street races. I, being a newbie, would love to see "evolved member" or even "evolving member" beside my name, but I still only respond when I can give input or am actually interested in what is being discussed.

So in summation :
don't street race
don't scoff at noobs (we all have to be one at one point or another)
don't be an @ss to someone who may or may not know how the site works, but chooses to post things like this anyway. Thats why we have mods and admins.
