ATTENTION filter
hey don't ask me why ,but i need to buy a new filter for my cai is it 3in inter and the filter is 5in??? thats all i need to know.

It depends on what CAI you have. For example, the Injen CAI is 2.75", while the RRM one is (I think) 2.5". You need to go measure the tube.

Double check before you buy. The RRM one is just from my memory, which isn't the most reliable source.

once i have the measurements for the filter it don't matter what kind of filter i get as long as it fits on the pipe. just wondering if the filter makes any difference in performance wise

K&N Filter RU-4950 fits the RRM Intake. Its the filter than RRM sent me... IT IS HUGE! I suggest using a hose clamp with this filter, if you are not already using a hose clamp.
