? about RRM evo style hood

hey i had the Carbon Trix Carbon fiber evo style hood for abot 7 or 8 mnths now and i always loved it. beautiful. But i never used it to its full effect until lastnight.

I took that vent off from under the hood to allow the hot air out and cool engine down. hope that'll add an unnoticable hp gain.

but heres my questions, the dumb one first... Is it OK to DRIVE AROUND in the rain with the vent off. I figured it probly isnt cuz the rain could get in the intake and blow the engine, but just needed to ask...

heres the more logic question.

is it ok to leave it off in the rain, if my car is parked and DOES NOT MOVE. and when i do start her up i put the vent back on and drive around in the rain... or should i NEVER EVER EVER let rain touch my engine?

thanks

unless your in a tsunami or under water you will be okay. not enough water will go in you engine bay when you driving to damage it. down when your parked, ya i wouldnt want water just pouring in my engine. buy a garage

I wouldn't recommend it. Don't let your laziness cost you unnecessary damage and rust to your engine. And, don't drive around in the rain, you can never know what will happen. One second its drizzling, the next minute its pouring, and someone jsut drove over a puddle and splashed tons of water onto your hood.

Just don't do it.

im just trying to get as much ram air as possible with a somewhat stock look. take the vents off the hood to let cold air in and hot air out, and remove fog lights, cuz my CAI filter is right where my left fog light is... hopefully them 2 ram air mods can gimme 2 or 3 hp... nothing to noticeable but every little bit counts. just goin for the sleeper look, but that carbon fiber hood was just to sexy to say no too lol

risky but fun turns a lot of heads. it almost doubles how loud my car is to...kinda annoying. lowers weight and increases cold ait to my sri.

Is that legal?

only draw back is wind resistance, not much of a factor in the 1/8 which is what i run the most.
