ok - now my serious answer.

i'm sure with enough time and money it could be done, but i just cannot see it being worth it. what are the laws up there about importing cars from the US? or is that a complete no go?

I agree....any drastic changes to any car to turn it into something that the manufacturer did not originally intend is a pricey proposition.
Not that it can't be done.....but you better have some deep pockets!

It is possible. There are people I know who have done it to 20+ cars. They transplanted the engine, tranny and the whole lot from evo's into a Cedia (aka Normal Lancer).
It's not a simple job and involves cutting the floor underneath the passenger seats and replacing it with one from an evo.
I wouldn't do it. The chassis on the evo is much stronger...

only way to get a evo into canada is take out the engine and bring the shell and engine up seperate. But the problem is you wouldnt be able to register it after anyways.
The law as of now is any vehicle 15 years old can get in from anywhere.

Yea the wrx and the sti is available to Canada, but they want evos. Canadians want the evo simply because it's not available there.

there are some of r32's up here. and importing is not that much, price of the car, 1000 bucks to get it shipped to vancouver, about 1500 to who ever imported it for you then taxes.
