What effect does the RRM piggyback have on MPG?

I know that you have to use 89 or better once you start using the piggyback, but does the MPG go up or down compared to the stock program?
I'm thinking that it optimizes the ratios and leans out the fuel a little and therefore improves it, but I'd like to know if I'm completely mistaken.

i could totally be wrong, but i THOUGHT this richens the fuel a bit, to help comply for the additional air flow with all the bolt on mods. (intake, exhaust, downpipe, manifold ect...)
could be wrong, thats just what i assumed the hole time

When I put my piggy on, I actually got better gas millage... not much, about .5-1mpg better. With all my mods, I prob get around 2mpg better over stock if I stay out of MIVEC range. After all the engine is just an air pump. The more efficient you can pass it through, the better the gas mileage.
I believe the piggy leans the mixture a little?

I haven't noticed any change in mileage with my piggy. It *does* lean out the mix, but only in open-loop operation, such as WOT. When you're just cruising, the ECU still gets feedback from the O2 sensor, and will adjust fuel accordingly.
Having the extra power on tap is nice, but if you're expecting to have fuel savings cover the cost of the piggy, it's not going to happen.

If one were to drive like grandma around the streets/freeways then they might see a 5mpg increase with the Piggy, but to have a piggy and not mash on the throttle is pointless. I never get any better mileage but thats only cause its so much more fun to keep my foot on the pedal.
