I would have bought it for sure if it was 5sp. Love the volvo look... I think the extra room in the back would be better for my hockey bag

You love the Volvo look? I can't respect the opinion of a Canuck until you get the queen off your money.

Oh well then, I can't respect your opinion for the time you keep this idiot as president!

Are you still in high school or what??? As I sometimes tell my kids, do you mind if we have an adult conversation here? Keep drawing those nice flowers, we'll get back to you in just a minute...

I really hope he's wrong... it would be such a ridiculous thing to do. Every other guy complained that it wasn't 5sp and went to see another car with a real tranny on it... and the press had a field day on the subject of the tranny too. Surely they must have gotten the message by now...

Then again, this is Mitsubishi... they are capable of the best, but also the most idiotic... and I still can't predict how it's gonna be next.

The first sentence I expected from someone who got the joke, but obviously, implying that I'm still in high school indicates you didn't. I only meant it as a joke, thus the exaggerated flags. I was hoping to try to make it obvious without saying something like (this is sarcastic, it's meant as a joke and I have no mean intentions), it kinda loses it's humor. Lemmie show you what I mean.

Besides, it not like you're French Canadian. If that were the case I would have come up there, started yelling a few things in German, next thing you know, i'm running the place. (this is sarcastic, it's meant as a joke and I have no mean intentions)

Relax. I have nothing but respect for our neighbors to the north, with your legal Cubans and escort services. Go have yourself a Beer. I have a prefrence to Molsen canadian myself, but I heard Labatt Blue is pretty good as well.

My bad man... this should serve as a lesson for me not to read replies to a thread when I get back from a party. Another factor in me not finding the joke that funny could be due to the fact that, being a so called "french canadian" myself (in fact, my people have been invaded by the english army, so I'm more of a "forced canadian"), I'm a bit frustrated at the fact that I have to look at her majesty's face all year 'round...

As for your german joke, I must admit it's kinda my kind of joke... and I do get the subtlety in this one (maybe a bit too much too, so I kinda sympatize with you on this).

Now, back to the topic at hand: When I first posted this, I didn't think I was the first one on here to hear about the Sportback being brought back... and I sure didn't expect that nobody would know why they'd bring it back and what they did to it to suddenly want to bring it back. I've got to get to the bottom of this... so I'll head to my (very french) local forum and try to see if anyone knows anything interesting about that.

I'll keep you guys posted...

I get asked about mine a lot. A couple of times by people at the dealer. I reallly think it came down to the fact most poeple didn't tknow they were around.

Why aren't they in the U.S.?

Beats me... Though maybe they'll test the waters over here and re-introduce it over in the States as a 2007 model, later this year. But don't hold your breath... as I said earlier, I think sales really sucked in the States when as over here they sold like hotcakes. I never saw one on a dealer's lot after 2004... My dearlership even chose one as their mod car and modded it with chrome wheels, graphics and about all the aftermarket stuff they could lay their hands on! Okay, for my tastes it was ugly as hell... ...but you get my point.

[EDIT: Dealerships guys should be legally barred from modding anything! ]
