maybe , but unlikely. Here in P.R the streets are all screwed up and i havent had any problems with something getting stuck there.

The backing to the crank pulley is solid, therefore nothing can get in there. Also it is flush with the plastic timing housing so nothing will get through. Buy it, install it, love it.

thanks guys,
i was looking at pics on a web site of pulley pics, and i guess he had the backing behind the pulley removed so it looked like when pulley was installed, it was open to timing belt...cheers

I like this thread . It's really informative, especially with all the pics. Hey Rock ! Maby having installation pics like this on the RRM website would make things a little easier.

If I went off roading I might be a tad concerned. But haven't really thought about that. I don't think it will be an issue....that thing spins pretty fast too.

i installed my pulley today and WOW you can feel the difference right away, by the way my interior lights are a little less bright at first i didnt realize it but when the gas light came on it wasnt as bright anyways everything else seems to work the same as with the stock pulley and if u dont already have one you should get guaranteed best bang for the buck

how bad is the dimming?

i ordered my pulley earlier this week and reading several of these posts makes me nervous. how bad is the dimming w/the lights after installing the pulley? does anyone regret installing the pulley because of the loss of brightness to the interior lights? are all the interior light affected including the speedo and what about the headlights? hope it'll be worth any of the side-effects!

The dimming is only at idle and it really isn't that noticable on any lights but the headlights. Turn your interior lights on when the car is turned off, and that's how bright they are at idle. No big deal at all.
