I concur with everyone this is a great part. I also installed mine last Saturday and it's great. Now I actually haven't noticed any dimming of my lights at all. Don't know if the ground kit helps with that but no complaints and love the throttle response. I already can see a slight improvement in my gas mileage as well.

Yeah well for the past 3.5 hours I've been working to install the pulley on my 2004 Ralliart with 45000kms. We were 2 and it took forever only for a single problem...the tensioner! It just wouldn't move at all. We had to take it off from the car and work on it for a while with jig-a-loo to finally be able to move it and my friend was about to explode when I was finally able to lodge the allen key in the holes.

Then we couldn't even move it to take the allen key off so we put it back on the car and dremelled the allen key off! now that worked but we tried tons of stuff before that.

Let me tell you that 45000kms in Quebec does not seem to make things easy when it comes to moving pieces!

I wanted to share this so other potential quebecors or people wanting to put this pulley on a "not so new" car know what problem could arise.

Other than that I can feel the difference and love the gain! Cheap and effective mod, but preferably installed on a recent car or not one that's been driven in snow and crap like that for 3 years haha!

good nite

Just imagine how upset you would have been if you were only replacing the serpentine belt and not adding a performance mod...

What were you using to move back the tensioner??? I found it rather easy to do with a 18" breaker bar.

Well i installed the pulley a few weeks ago, i like it a great deal. Helps between shifts (less drag on the way back up, rpm stay up more) the lights dimming is no issue, very slight and not a safety concern. I find the pulley works nice of the start and then especially in fourth gear, you can cruise around at 24-800 rpm then scoot up pretty quick to mivec with it on. Fuel consumption is about the same, volts stay over 14 but are known to dip now and again (slippage???) no noise from belts or other parts, so far so good. its a nice part Joe. I am not sure if anyone has experienced anything bad with this pulley, crank walk or something, would be pretty tough to do i would think unless you were putting out 300+ whp or something.

The tie bar is very easy to install. Helps if you have an impact wrench, but it's not required.

ok hope these pics help while using the instructions in this thread:
*note these pics were taken after i installed the bar - urs wont have the bar on there yet that is why u are reading this thread*

jack the car up and it will look like this (without the bar installed tho)

then crawl under and look towards the back of the car and u should see this:

those 2 funni lookin blots are important - i think they are called camber bolts - anyways they have to return to the same position as when started as noted in the DIY

so u may want to mark the points at where they are at(after u get an alignment):

there u go, take off the nuts on the other side, put the bar on, then re aplly the nuts and tighten to torque specs and make sure that the bolts line up
**note - easier with 2 people**
