Pulley problem

hey guys Im a newb here and I just purchased and installed the RRM pulley. I dont seem to have the same differences any one else has, yeah my car revs faster but i dont seem to have the stronger throttle response everybody else talks about. I also noticed that in 5th gear @ high speed i flored the gas pedal and the rpms didnt seemed tp move. what do you guys think?

Hmm. I can't really help you with what your explaining. Some cars may require resetting the ECU. This mod is not going to like be the end all of your mods. You for sure want to add exhaust and intake for the best gains.

I think that your pulley is probably okay as is. It only frees up a few horses. It is not a major power adder. Just consider it to be a small incremental addition to your power, but don't actually expect to feel much of anything.
It's still a good piece to add to your car. I've gotten a small mpg gain by having a pulley and driving alot of interstate.

Your RPM's in fifth gear won't climb very fast at all. The only thing that might change that would be a significant power adder like turbo.

Reset your ECU pull the negative off for 10 mintues, don't reflash your ECU "which you can't do anyway"

Not sure what you meant about stronger throttle response. All I know is it improved mine a fair amount nothing spectacular though.

I felt a difference in 1st, 2nd and 3rd... and the extra low - mid range torque. Don't notice to hard, you'll be overlooking and overthinking the power.

Could be the case. Maybe all is working correctly but you were expecting more?

I never let myself expect much out of mods.....then when I get them on and I notice even a bit of difference it makes me happy.

A car revving faster is the same thing as better throttle response. Sounds to me like everything is fine.

yeah, it takes a little while for the ecu to really learn the new pulley, even after a reset. I noticed a pretty significant change though. you just have to remember it's a 4 cyl, not a rocket ship. while it adds lots of power to the engine, the engine will only pull the car so fast, so even though the gain might be 5% (random guess) imagine how small a 5% difference really is to the seat of you pants and feel that. No rocket ship, but definitely there.

i think RRM just got the new stock of pulleies which were shipped out recently. I dunno they were heavy weight compare to the old ones may be. Try to pm rock and find out if they weight as same as old ones. If they are same, than i dont know what is wrong with yours.
