New Lancers in the UK
Yeah I went to the dealer again today and they are not stock Recaros, that is an option. The seats look to be the USDM ralliart seats but in black with red dots.
There are pics of my car on this forum somewhere, but ill make a new topic when I've got my rear conversion done next week, and of course after a year of collecting 4G69 parts I'm ready to do that engine swap now as soon as I find a motor and transmission - so I'll keep you all updated on that. I seem to be the first person to do the rear evo IX look conversion so hopefully I'll also be the first to do the 4G69 swap after so many who gave up!

The looks have changed to be more in line with USDM - we now have big bumpers, not the shorty JDM ones.
Our models were originally:
Lancer Equippe/Elegance: 1.3L SOHC 4G15
Lancer Ralliart Sport: 1.6L SOHC 4G18
Lancer Estate: 2.0L SOHC 4G94
Our Lancer Ralliart is 4G63 2.0 DOHC with the option of FWD or AWD, with a 0-60 time of 9.6s, which is quite slow.
So now we have:
Lancer Equippe/Elegance: 1.6L SOHC 4G18
Lancer Ralliart Sport: 2.0 DOHC 4G63
Lancer Estate: 2.0 DOHC 4G63
Previously the Lancer Ralliart in the UK which I have, came with a 1.6 engine, which was slated heavily in the press - I am in the process of changing mine to the 4G69 and my local Ralliart shop is helping me do this.
We still havent recieved the 2.4 MIVEC though, as were a nation consumed with high petrol prices - Ł1.10 per liter or about $2.50 a litre to you guys? As you can imagine, a 2.0 engine in an entry-level performance saloon is going to be expensive, never mind the 2.4!
I'll post some pics from the brochure in a bit - what I can tell you is that Momo Wheel, Ralliart Recaro Seats, Leather come as standard on the 4G63 2.0 DOHC Ralliart Sport Lancer.

If I was given the choice of a 4g63dohc n/a or a 4g69 sohc mivec n/a I would most definately go the 4g63... mainly for the simple reason that modifying this engine (4g63 ) is going to be so much more responsive than the 4g69 and is going to be very easy to make power also looking thru the spec sheet the compression ratio on the cars areso much better... I would think that the lower H.P and torque would be attributed to the new emission control that comes into effect on all new cars manufactured in 2006 so the 4g63dohc most probably has at least 2 cats and possibly a 3rd and most likely a very restrictive intake and exhaust all of these restrictions are easy to overcome you could quiet easily double the hp and torque with simple bolt on mods go the 4g63dohc and hey if you want to sell the engine give us a yell I would buy the 4g63 if you don't want it
