Uhh, I would use the same oil that you have been using for the last 45,000.

use the same oil unless you have oil consumption problems, smokeing and low dipstick... if not stick with it.

That's a different guy. You're looking for PDXRalliart.

As for the oil, stick with whatever you've been using, unless you're having problems. Those of us who switched to full synthetic did so for various reasons. Having an engine that uses less than half a quart of oil in 5000 miles is one of mine.

Kick me or not, I switched to Synthetic oil and I noticed my car is smoother after the oil change, my car is fairly new and I could notice a bit of the difference. Not sure if it smoothens out or not, but I felt it.

Synthetic takes alot longer to break down than conventional oils. Its also better for your engine. Its no secret that you can go 2-3 times longer without changing your oil. So yeah, its more expensive but when mechanics say you can go as much as 10-15k between oil changes, (I've heard, not that I'm recommending) I'd say you'll get your money back and be running the good stuff to boot. After I argued the point with my dad, who was tired of constantly changing oil on all the family cars, he switched over and has really made his life alot easier.
