i believe at cristmas tree shop you can get a plastic "stub" to put in there... i had one in my previous car because i bought it used and it had no lighter and i didnt like the hole either... it set me back a whopping 25 cents :P

 

get a small sheet of CF and cut it to hold something... switches... gauge... push button start for your car... The possibilities are endless!
