so.. took the RA off road today.....

Yep, I pull up to my buddies sister's graduation party ( they live out in the middle of BFE) and there is a dirt track set up. There's a group of people standing out there and they're all telling me to do a lap, explaining that they've all done it and its my friends property, so I do. Not only do I make a lap, but I probably would have put T Mak himself to shame on this track, haha. Anyways I get done and park my car and begin walking to the party. Just as I get to the door. A man greets me with a, "What the hell are you doing?!" I, completely bewildered at this question, explain It was my friends property and I had permission. Not the case at all. Turns out this was HIS property that he and his son built a go cart track out of. My friends had screwed me. I spent the next 45 minutes raking this kids dirt back into what his father called even just out of pure sympathy. Moral of the story. I'm making new friends.

Yeah get new friends for sure!
I'm sure looking back you can see thats kinda funny though... or I am sure you wouldn't have told us.
One question though - was the fun of the lap worth the raking? Sounds pretty cool

You've got an awesome sense of humor, man. It was cool of you to clean up the mess, but your buddies probably should have been the ones to pay that price. I hope you get them back.

Something like that sorta happened to me. I was at a friend's house, he has a lot of property (the BFE theory). I drove my impreza that day, and was aching to hit some trails. So he said that if i can make it through this one field to the woodline, there are tons of trails in there.
So i said "a field? no problem " He rode as my co-pilot, and we were off.
He was right, the trails in the woods were amazing. Nice and wide, long straights, sharp turns (uphill and downhill!). There were some pretty deep mud holes...but the suby ate them up.
After about 30 minutes of fun, i turned around and started heading back to way i came. Then i saw him. A man in a green uniform. my buddy instantly yells "PARK RANGER! FLOOR IT!!"
So i'm thinking "park ranger? they usually only stay in state par.....oh crap...."
He was still off in the woods a little bit, but when he saw me coming he started to run to the trail... So i pretended i didn't see him, and hauled a$$ back to the kid's house.
Luckily, the front lisence plate was bent up under the front lip, and the back one was covered with mud...
I hosed my car off in his driveway, gave my friend the finger, and left... Havn't talked to him since, but those were some damn fun trails...

But yea, find new friends.

Oh yea looking back on it It's hillarious, however at the time, I don't think I could have been more angry. There's nothing like raking a dirt track with a pissed off 7 year old and his pissed off father for 45 minutes. haha.

Hah that's awesome! Was it worth it? Good job for staying to rake it.
