Just bought a 06' Black Ralliart!

So far loving it! I just put on the first one hundred miles... had the AC the entire time basically since I bought it on Saturday... and I'm already down to a half tank, ugh... lol hopefully that will change when the car "breaks in". I guess the Auto transmission always becomes more fuel efficient after learning your driving style? Hopefully it can differentiate when I want to go fast and when I want to save gas. Anyone else buy one recently?

nice welcome. Yea try not to redline the car.. heh gotta brake in the car. I forget i think 4500 or 4000 rpms. With the AC and u drive around (not the highway), the car will burn alot of gas. But on the highway, under MIVEC and with the AC on... ull get 30 mpg.

The ECU learns continuously. The average length of time for the ECU to completely learn is 75 miles, so if you drive like a bat out of hell for 75 miles the car will expect you to drive like a bat out of hell. Take the car to the track for the weekend(road course, not drag strip) and on your way home each night you should notice a significant change in gas mileage from your normal driving. The car is still in "hyper" mode (not a real term, just an example) and is using much more gas than normal. Drive like grandma for 75 miles and you should get outstading gas mileage as long as you continue to drive like grandma.

Not if you wash it right. It's been a year and mine has no swirls on it at all. People get swirls when they dry it wrong.

So that's why I don't get great mileage

haha. well i live in massachusetts. im here in texas until late october.
that's good to know about the mileage. im gonna take it easy on it until 500-ish miles? Maybe until 1,000?

any input on first oil change? i read the user manual but with my last new car i had to change the oil at 1,000 miles.

i use F U K K enwax, waterless wax and wash. i've used it on my last three cars (BMW's and honda). works absolutely amazing, water beads right off. once the dust collects a little bit more on it ill put on the first coast (-:

Swweeet,

You should take it easy until your sure its broken in. When u take it easy you should probably not get on it and keep it under 4k. Change the oil the first 1000 or 1500 and then at 3000 and then regularly, unless anybody has a better idea.

I got mine used and so far I love it. My last car was alot more powerful but this thing is definitely more fun to drive (stickshfit).
