im just sayin...

if a car is based off a turd. it might resemble one.
if a car is based off something that is fairly decent, most likely itll be a bit bettre than decent.

but hey, to each his own

I agree with the others.. Buy a Evo.
chrysler and mitsubishi have been partners for a long long time, so how does one make a good product and the doesnt? makes no sense to me

and LeftysRule22 a lancer is not based off an evo, its based off a mirage, which as far as im concerned, is a POS.

how many people here have driven a SRT-4? i drove on at srt days with my buddy, along with the srt10 truck and an srt6 crossfire. its quick and handles really nicely on the track.

All cars are based upon the original horse and carrage buggy which is a POS, therefore all cars are POS!!!

If you want power get a v8 like a mustang or a camero. My old car was a lincoln mark vIII and it basically outhandled my lancer and had more power. I really do like the lancer RA though alot. My lincoln was not like race track fast but for the street, I did not often see cars that were faster, unless they weren't trying, but somehow I think they were. I remember one day getting on the highway and this evo floored by me and i followed them on the onramp and they weren't putting any distance between me and them and I thought, haha my 13 year old car with 160k miles is as fast as this brand new ricer.

So in conclusion, if power is what you want get a V8, unless you can afford the expensive cars. If you want a car that is reliable and fun to drive get the srt-4 or a lancer or really whatever floats your boat.

Dude the ralliart can be faster than a srt-4. Ull sell the car for 15k and spend another 6k in gettin the srt-4. Why not jus turbo ur car and some light suspension work... u can damn well do great. Turbo Ra from RRM or the supercharger from RIPP, the ralliart is doin mid to high 13's easy with good tires.

The srt-4 is a great car but its styling is not my cup of tea. IN the amount of selling ur car and rebuying another car. Jus mod out the ralliart OR jus go get the Evo ( selling ur ralliart and saving up )

Personally, if you want to upgrade, find yourself a lightly used WRX. I'm guessing a new Evo/STi is out of your price range, and personally, there are very few Evos out there that I'd be comfortable buying used (as in, I'd have to know the owner personally, and be able to track the car's history here on EvoM). I don't really see a point in going to an SRT-4. Really, I think you'd be better off slapping a turbo on the Ralliart.

i disagree with putting a turbo on the RA. you are going to have BAD tracion issues unless you spend another 900$ to get LSD. and i dont even think they have one yet?

i dont think you can beat the gurgle of that exhaust, i love that sound that srt's and wrx's make.

Whats the warranty on the Neon?
I find them to be very small inside with the A pillar verrrrry close to my head
I don't think they do very well in a crash either ( heard that somewhere numerous times)

Yea just go buy an evo then go buy a Ferrari when you're done because you obviously have an infinite amount of cash. I'd say go for it, it makes me want one even more knowing that sooo many people hate it. Go get a the electric blue or whatever it's called that's such a nice color.

I think it makes plenty of sense, JDM > USDM. The base model, the mid performance model and the high performance model Lancer & Impreza > Neon.

I don't know of any 12sec SRT4 not having traction issues, slicks perhaps? Sure isn't on street tires. When you running almost 2secs faster than your stock time, you are bound to have traction issues, plain and simple.

yeah i call BS on that my ralliart has been in the shop 5 times in 4 months, and guess what, none of it is my fault and none is due to how i drive it. its getting all new valves, timing belt, idler gear, serpentine belt. all because the lancer IS in fact a piece.
Luck of the draw? Sorry to hear about that, my 2004 has not recorded any of the problems you've experinced.

I have, and only thing that I remember is the straight line speed after you get traction. My gripe is the medicore 6k redline, the gears end quickly. While it may be fun to some to hit 6k so quickly and shift in the gates, it got bland to me... the car needs a higher rev limit. Far as handling, let's just say my friend almost killed me when he was going 60mph (speed limit was 25mph) and went around a slow moving corolla when there was oncoming traffic, the car felt like it was gonna tip over (got a bit sideways on it's right two tires) and the tires were screaming for help. When we stop I immediatly got the **** out... scared the hell out of me.

The SRT-4 doesn't come with an LSD, either (at least not stock.) There are two options for LSD's on the Ralliart.

As for the exhaust sound, the Ralliart will sound very similar to an SRT-4. Turbo + test pipe makes that sound.

IT"S NOT! sorry man, if you bought your ralliart thinking it's a sports car, you didnt test drive it or research it, same thing you're about to do by buying a SRT-4. If you want a "sports car" there are a ton of used ones you can get for much less than a new ralliart or SRT-4, just do some research.
