Help!!
I hope you're not posting hoping for answers you want to hear rather than answers you don't want to hear.
IMHO, if you bought the car 4 days ago and you're telling me this "autobody shop" sold it to you not knowning (which I find it hard to believe) it had leaks in it, god knows what else is wrong.
It's up to you, but you heard it from evoM first, get your money back or be in for a financial ride of more problems to come.

i went to the shop to see if my plates came in yet and made an apointment to come in wensday for them to fix it. my friend got back in town today and is good with cars and he looked at it and he thinks its the weather striping around the door. i think thats most of the water is closest to the door. idk, il see monday
I had the same problem. I had taken my car in to have some stuff looked at. They removed a gasket for a wiring harness and didn't put it back in. It fed from the area behind the dashboard through to inside the fender.
How'd yours turn out?

alright ganna update my...um...news.
i took it in last tuesday. they replaced the weather striping on the doors and patched up the 2 holes in the trunk. Inside carpets = dry :-) . the back defrosters still not working and i still noticed some water on the iside of the back window. and the carpet in the trunk was a bit moist. i took it in today and the owner and some other guy took a quick look at it and said the water in the trunk was from before and i just got to dry it up and il be fine. one of the mechanics looked at the wires behind the panaling for the back window defrosters and said that the pasnger side wire was messed up or cut or somthing ( barely speaks english, its a polish owned autobody shop). i told them about the water on the inside the window then wen i went to show him it was all dryy.. watev.
so anyway im bringing it in tuesday. he said hes ganna have them fix the wires because they forgot to do that the first time i brought it in. then hes going to order the (back window um.. the rubber on the botom of the window i forgot wat he called it) thing from mitsu. he said after that everything should be perfect. yay

i had the same problem..i just posted a thread about it, and afterwards did a more thorough search...my driver back floor always got wet, sometimes the front...the door jam was always dry and the sun roof and roof and everything was dry..i still havent figured it out..my nearest mitsu place isnt close by so ive kinda just forgot about it..but it hasnt happened in about 5 months..so i dunno whats goin on
i kno wats wrong wit it, my RA had the same issue, wat it is is there's a small hole under ur hood on the edge of the driver side where water can seep through and into the cab, its more around the front strut bar, i kant get a pic for u, im deployed right now so thats the best i kan do, but i had the same problem, all i did, was plug the hole wit some silicone and it hasnt leaked since, and i did it, bout 3 years ago.
I ended up drilling a hole along side the other one but along the bottom. The other hole is up a little higher so when the water level was high it would seep through...I like the idea of filling it, but I just drilled another small one near it, but under it so it would seep through THAT and OUT (it's pointed down instead of in). Just another option. Been dry as a bone ever since. Silly issue however.
I had the same issue, tearing the front drivers side fender off and realized that the power cable of the amp was going around the large rubber grommet (not through) it was causing a space that the water was seeping in through. I pulled the cable wrestled it through the grommet and its been perfect since.

(like 1 inch open) seat got a little wet, lol
