Hmmmm sounds interesting. I'd like my MIVEC to come on before I start boosting, say around 2,500 rpms.

its mechanical, but who activates it, its the ECU

also about the guy who want it to kick in at 2,500, you first have to check, that the engine had the required OIL PSI to activate the mivec, because even if you send the signal to activates it , it wont activate till it had the required OIL PSI

just check out that first

that's backwards. the oil pressure tells the ecu to activate the mivec, not the other way around. the sensor that controls mivec is set to 45psi(iirc) oil pressure.

I don't think their would be big peak gains, all low end, so you'd get to peak HP quicker. kind of like the gains the RRM piggy back gives.

This would be good for any car stock to heavy mod if it works well for mivec.

i know, theres AN oil pressure sensor, that tells what the psi to the ECU, then the ECU decides to activate it or not (depending on the PSI)

what i mean was that the ecu activates it (to the guy who said "i think mivec was mechanical")
