Rods, pistons, combo of both... How much PSI are we talking here?

Headgasket is probably a weak point, too. ARP headstuds would help with this.

My money's on the headgasket, too. With ARP head studs, I'd say connecting rods.

Like CF-N asked, how much boost?

My guess is you're fine up to about 12psi or so. IIRC, the rods in the 4G69 are even stronger than in the 4G64.

10 lbs you should be fine on stock internals, just get your fuel figured out. If you're paranoid, then headstuds.

MITSUMIVEC, With all that in mind, especially with the mivec change over, it wouldnt be a bad idea to invest into a wideband so you know if U try to push the limit, ur not leaning out... somethin me and my friend have done to his aspirated Sentra 2.0; awesome tuning tool!

Reading through what you really want to know, pistons are the weak link. Asking the question like you are is over simplifying the issue though. You have other things that will not allow more boost. I think we taked on the phone right? So far you need more of everything if you are going to boost more. Hope that makes sense.

The good thing here is that you know what sort of power that you are wanting annd were you are going to use all of this power... which means that you can go to your tuner with these numbers and then build the car to that level - the bigger the power output the more stressess that you put on the car and not just the engine internally either it will also relate to the suspenssion - engine mounts - gearbox - clutch flywheel - tires etc...

But everything comes at a cost more power equals more $$
