I've had my UDP for a year and a half now and I've had no problems, so if longevity and legitamcy of this product is in question I don't think it should be. As far as it being a used part I think as long and the pulley looks clean (no scratches, chips or dents) it should be fine. Just do a good visual inspection of it.
I'm not sure if I'd trust a used belt though. But the better quetion is where can you get a new belt from? Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those belts special ordered for the UDP by RRM? I would think that the only place you can buy a belt that would fit would be from RRM and I'm not sure if they would be selling the belt by itself.

Nothing special about the belt other than it being a bit smaller than stock. I believe some part numbers for the belt are posted in some of the old UDP threads, or you could call RRM and ask them for the part number. Also, if that picture is the UDP belt in the original box, then there's a part number for ya, too. Most autoparts stores can cross-ref that number if you want another brand belt.
