Dont expect Paypal to do S#IT man, i sold 2 PSP's to a guy in Europe, the sale finished by him paying with a credit car connected to pay pal, it went though i recieved my money, shipped them and 3 days later the $756.00 was missing out of my account, and i was actually in a negative. Contacted Pay Pal and they said the Card was stolen and money had to be refunded. Even though, they had cleared me to ship it and everything. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS THROUGH PAY PAL AGAIN.

If this guy is going to lie man, attempt to make things even if at all necessary. make a claim if you can, or a dispute.... Its sad that people do that crap and get away with it MANY times... good luck man

That's not PayPal's fault; it's just the way credit cards work. When a stolen card is used to buy things, and it's discovered, the money is always refunded and the seller takes the loss. RRE actually has a nice little write-up about it on their site.

That's fraud - You should contact the police or local 'fraud squad' if he won't refund you. It's possible he's done it before. If the wires are all cut, it could be stolen. Paypal won't do a thing.

The fraud thing aside.... (It does suck and I'm really sorry to here that, hope you get it worked out)
Your original question was on making these work... (just in case you cant work this out) Could you post up some pictures of the gauges? Perhaps collectively we can figure this out. (I'm a visual person so I need to see it) I would hate to see you loose money on something like this if we can help you out with it.

OK, no one is addressing a simple fact - if the wires have just been cut, there's nothing wrong with the gauges. Wire can be spliced, extended, split, etc. very easily. Wire is wire. It would be very easy to install them.

If you're asking this, you clearly know nothing about wiring (no offense intended). So take the gauges to a mechanic and have them installed. Should be pretty cheap.

Ok that does make sense. I know some things when it comes to wiring. The harness that he provided.. had wires ripped out of it. Can you just buy wire and plug the wire back into the socket? I tried looking for just the male harness itself for the boost gauge. I cant find that. Ill post pics of how it has been cut and what is missing.

Amazing how people come up with ridiculous comments...I was already speaking with you through PM but you decided to take it up with PayPal.

This is exactly what I told you...and you told me you didn't want to do "ghetto rig" it. I'm no electrician nor am I an installer... I never stated anything in detail about the wiring harness...I just stated I was including whatever was taken off my car. I also did tell you to take it to a mechanic...obviously the dealer you took it to is not going to do any custom work for you...because then they would be liable for anything that went wrong with that custom work in the long run. They would want you to purchase a brand new one from them.

I have all my PM's saved and I'm pretty sure you do too. It's all semantics...you assumed I was sending you brand new equipment...granted the gauges themselves are in brand new condition...

I paid through paypal, but bc it was shipped and recieved on time, they wont jump in. Any ideas..?
Please forward me the PM where I said this.

That actually made me laugh. Now Mr. Amax...if I was going to run away and steal his money, I wouldn't have responded to any emails after I received his money, now would I? That wouldn't be a smart thing for any theif/crook to do. [sarcasm] I guess everyone in California that had their OEM gauges stolen should be alerted!!!!!! [/sarcasm]

I'm glad it made you laugh and that you came on here to address the issue - you didn't have to as he, to his credit, never mentionned your handle. There's lots of ways you can stay pretty anonymous on here and fraud is real. I had a guy sell me bent wheels with tires full of nails on e-bay. I thought the case would be cut and dry but e-bay/pay-pal ruled against me unbelievably stating that his account was that I bent them and ran over nails. (you can see why I came across as bitter). You have to disclose everything when you sell something sight unseen. You should have told him before the sale that it had wires ripped out of it as that would be reflected in his decision to buy or not and in the price agreed to. It's good that you're offering to help him now at least.

Thats why I deal very carefully with eBay and PayPal...I tend to use a friends PayPal account and never keep money in it, or have bank accounts or credit cards tied to them. I also am very careful with eBay...I check feedback before I purchase and make sure they didn't just buy some $0.99 item that they were selling under a different name to bump up their own feedback. There are ways to tell...just have to be smart about it. More info about how much PayPal sucks... www.paypalsucks.com
