O geez.
<---this has absolutly nothing to do with my post. ANYWAYS, I don't even have a rubber shock mount there lol - i lost it a while ago when i took my cai off to install brass shifter bushings and just placed a big washer there. Thanks for the reminder.
If your intake filter is oiled you have to buy what they call a "recharge kit". they are about $12 you can get them at autozone or any local auto parts store. basically you spray this cleaner on the outside of the filter and let it eat the dirt away. then you rinse it from the INSIDE out so the dirt and sediments flow off the filter. let it dry and put a new coat of spray oil on it. everything you need is included in the kit and it will do prob 1/2 dozen cleans....anyways....yeah.
I'm ditching the pads in favor of some EBC reds, but hope to use everything else. The rotors were already turned, too.

it should tell you if it's a wet or dry filter and yes if it's an oil filter it needs to be oiled lightly and evenly after you clean it. this provides a surface protection to trap dust particles...
ok yea its a dry filter so i guess that means it doesnt need to be oiled? but are you saying if its dry to oild it a little anyway?
Jus get a recharge kit from K&N. Clean it with the liquid provided and let it dry up. Oil it, its good for the filter but do OVER OIL it. Jus spray it a little around the whole thing. Let it again dry for a few hours and install it. Note when u let it dry and there's oil dripping after u oil'd it, then u over oil'd it.

Uh, not that shock mount. The $5 rubber shock mount that holds my CAI to the transmission. Sorry about that!
