Air Filter - Reminder
What about stock intake filters?
Also might be a stupid question, where's the cabin air filter? I think i may need to replace that as well. Never changed any air filter ever since i got my car a year and a half ago...

For The Record - the K&N Recharge Kit will work as a universal cleaner/oiler for ANY of the Oil-Type filters...Hope this clears things up and btw autozone carries this...i dunno if Wal-Mart does tho...
when you pull that filter out. It's gonna have all kinds of junk in it.
Don't do that, it's severely overpriced. Pull out your old filter and cut all the filter material out from the frame. Then buy a home furnace filter, cut out a piece that'll fit into the filter frame, and use that. It's a lot cheaper and will filter better than the OEM piece.
o dang, too late i got it for around $35 from the dealer and installed it already. The cabin filter i got from the dealer looked pretty dirty, the guy said it was charcoal used to capture all the dust and allergen particles...
I was thinking won't all this charcoal blow through the vents into my face instead then?? haha but luckily i didn't come out of my car looking like the color of my car. The old filter i pulled out wasn't all that bad, just a few pine needle leaves and the filter was fairly white unlike my new filter which was almost completely black and covered with charcoal.
The intake wasn't all that bad either jsut a few leaves, i guess i was expecting the worst...

Charcoal filters absorb odor, but they're still not worth $35. I think you got lucky on the price. Dealers charge, or at least used to charge, over $60 for them.
A nice high-end house filter will cost you $15 at most, and you should be able to get at least 4 filters out of it.
