Horsepower - An odd number.
Okay so this is weird.
USA - Stock ralliart CRANK horse power - 162 CRANK TQ - 162
AUS - Stock ralliart CRANK horse power - 157 CRANK TQ - 170
Based on my modifications (in my sig), what would I approx. should/be running?
Because I dyno'd (on a dynoamics with Haltech) 150whp with my modifcations which seems very odd when I have all those modifications ROCK mentioned plus more.
It seems as though the car should be running a lean at least 170whp.
ROCKS quote: "161hp with the RRM CAI, axle back exhaust, and piggyback WHEEL horse power"
I've got the above plus the CBE, Pulley, Haltech ECU which is tuned and dyno'd. I should be at least pushing 170+.
Can anyone help us out here cause I'm lost in translation

Depends on the Dyno, calibration, star alignments, alot of stuff. Don't get hung up on the numbers..You are doing fine mate!! Dump some Fosters Lager in the gastank, you should be at least 170WHP then!
jk, numbers are different from dyno to dyno. If you tuned on their dyno, you would be over the 170 mark.

Yeah the numbers can goto hell, it just seemed so awfully weird. But I think a dyno with 20whp less is quite awful.
at Fosters Lager.
Its just that the numbers just don't do justice to modifications!

they actually not bad ... lol and bigger than an evo engine !!!
yeah im looking for a place around my area to dyno me (for cheap lol) but i only have little mods but i wanna see how they affect compared to stock - SRI, pulley

150whp sounds right to me. before my camshaft i was dynoing around 155whp as an auto with a few more mods. also have to remember that the 157 you read up is at the crank and theirs i think a 15% loss or something like that when you go down to the wheels.

the dyno you tuned on is not an inertia type dyno, which is most likely why Haltech chose it. The mustang(dynonamic) dynos are much more useful for tuning, but because it uses a known load on the drums your numbers will typically be lower than those taken on an inertia style dyno. one might say 16%, others will give a range and say 7 to 15%, but it's an estimate no matter what figure or formula you use to convert. at 150hp you are close to the 170 range you are looking for.
the inertia style dyno uses a formula based on the drum itself to calculate the HP for your car, the mustang dyno calculates from a much larger group of variables. Each has it's strengths and weaknesses.

I really NEED to get my car dyno'd and tuned.... any idea on a price?? if i just go to get in dyno'd it should be just an hour? like 100 an hour right??? But if i get it tuned it should be an all day thing right???
you should be able to tune your car in couple of hours or so because of RRM's base tune. It is normally per hour or per run for runs and a little more per hour for tuning.
In my opinion you should be less concerned with taking your car somewhere to get it tuned and more concerned on how you can keep your car tuned yourself. Split second has a pretty good writeup on tuning on there website(RRM's tuning instructions came from there) and if you can even vaguely get an idea about what they are talking about you can tune it yourself. You will need a way to log though, so look into the tactrix cable everyone is talking about, and you need a way to log your AFR so look into getting a wideband. If you have these things and log a couple of times you will definetly see where your tune needs improvement. If you need any help there are three threads that we have open now that you can ask for help in.
One, Two, Three.
