Mounting My New Muffler for my RA

So last week i bought an 06' Ralliart. Ive been driving around, and just looking at other RA's on the road, i never realized how small and ugly looking the muffler looks. Today i went out to some "performance" store, and picked up a nice looking "universal" muffler. Was told it shouldn't be too loud, and if it is, i can always add a silencer. Its a Ractive muffler, and this is the closest picture i can find of it. It's in a gun metal chrome, and looks much nicer then this.

My only question now is...how do i mount this thing?

Yea the looks of the stock muffler really bugs me. Eventually ill get some better sounding/looking muffler welded in. You have to get it welded in.

Oh, that doesnt sound too bad..you say it costs about 25 bucks? Do i take it to a welding shop...or an automotive shop that will do the welding too?

Has anyone heard this muffler before? I love the looks of the tip of it.

Yep, everyones right, you have to get it welded on.

Take it to an automotive shop that specialises in exhausts or your mechanic. Should be right!

Seriously, you'd be better off with the stock muffler than the one you purchase. Sure stock looks weak, but it sounds a hell of alot better. That new exhaust will fill in the gap of the rear cut out but will sound like HELL!

you get it welded on, but believe me, they will have to make a custom bent pipe and it's going to cost more than $25. the stock muffler's inlet is to the side a tad and that one's right in the middle.

So i took it in today, and yeah it needed some piping bent and all that. Once it was put on, i had a test to hear it, and its really not that loud at all. Its a nice deep sounding exhaust, it has the silencer already in it. I like the sound of it, it doesn't sound like a tin can, it sounds deep and rumbles nicely. The bill ended up coming out to 80$, but oh well...aesthetically its awesome, and to top it off, sounds awesome

So all in all, i'm a happy camper. I also decided to paint my calipers, and remove all the dealership decals too. Now i cant wait until i slap my new rims on there!
