Winged Warrior 3 Results -- Otter and E2L finish in top 3
May 12, 2007 --
WHAT it is:
Winged Warrior 3 event. A charity street car racing event put on to benefit children at a local hospital in Indianapolis (Riley Hospital). The competition is 3 events: Autocross, Drag racing, and a Show portion. The performance events are weighted double the show portion.
There are 6 classes, A-F. Otter and Myself were in Class F. There were 88 competitors overall, and 13 in our class F. http://www.wingedwarrior.net
My Class Results:
FIRST in Autocross (1:04.722; 1.3 seconds ahead of 2nd. I had all of Class E covered too except for their winner. 27th over all classes.)
FIRST in Carshow Portion (It's purty! )
FOURTH in drags (15.50 best time. Hot lapping with a headwind and a LOT of negative front camber because I was set up for the Autocross. 14.56 won the class)
OVERALL CLASS F CHAMPION!!!!!!

OTTER's Class Results:
I have to give a shout out to Otter, as he did pretty well himself in Class F:
THIRD in Autocross (1:07.680)
SIXTH in Carshow (disadvantage of having to travel from MI)
FIFTH in Drags (15.57)
OVERALL CLASS F THIRD PLACE!!!!!
We were the only Ralliarts there, and represented well. Also, Evo's swept class A, one was 3rd in class B, a 2G Eclipse came in 3rd in class C.

I have to thank Otter for some tent space too.....saved me from staying in an RV with 3 kids who aren't the most well behaved!
Mine is up too....just not to the extreme of Otter's due to my coilover springs are a bit stiffer than his springs.
Thanks everyone for all the kind words. I always have sooooo much fun competing, and this was my "crown jewel event" of the year. So winning it was a pretty big deal for me.
Then to have Otter get a podium finish was icing on the cake. (A Saturn Ion Redline was in between us)
and RRM represent! I had several people coming up to me asking about my Ralliart, and how they have heard good things about RRM.
i like that one pic of otter, you see his back wheel is off the ground.

I had a blast Learned something very important about the RA, too. It's rather unbalanced when you compare the driver's side to the passenger side. For my last run, I took a passenger who requested a ride, and it completely changed how the car felt in the slalom and greatly improved my time.
I was rather disappointed with my 1/4 time, but the 3rd place autocross more than makes up for that
