hehe! my offset is 42mm though. and the tires are 215/35.

I wonder what barnsey's tires are. they are likey a 225, 235, or more. (and since he said his diameter is the same is likely on 35 profile tires)

18x8's are much too wide! 7.5 width is cutting it.

I got 18x7 to be safe!!! (most people run 17x7 on their Ralliarts with a higher profile tire and have no probs) I spent hours and hours on forums and talking to different shops. The combo I got will fit with no rubbing.

Our wheels arrive Tues or Weds. Will post our results.

What is the correct size?
This shop sounds like it has horrible service. If they were the ones that suggested the tires and installed them, and they turn out not to fit, they should take them back regardless. (now i'm curious what shop you talked to)

x2 ! Take them back, they told you that they would fit, and they didn't fit. Yeah, what shop is this?

I agree with SiRiUS, 7.5" width is a push and then probably only with an offset
of 45mm or real close and 225 width is probably the widest to safely use without modification. Your wheels are two inches wider than stock and even at stock width your offset still makes your wheels stick out 10mm more.
Return them or trade them for something that fits.
