calm down your no good working on your car all worked up....get a pipe to put on the end of the ratchet for more torque, pvc,or anything that would help....take a rest and go back to it you don't wanna F this up....
four bolts are turned counter clockwise. don't loosen the tension until the bolts are loose. use a 1/2" prybar for the tensioner, IIRC you should try and line the prybar up with the pulley when it's on the tensioner. That will let you get the most force on the tensioner in the direction it is supposed to go.
are you little?
j/k

I just loosened mine, since I have a pully on the way. 3 bolts loosened fairly easily, but the 4th I had to give a strong, powerful jerk. Otherwise the engine was spinning. Get the car up as high as possible to give yourself some room. Be sure to use jackstands. Lanzer hit it--go slip a pipe over the ratchet to give more leverage.
As for the tensioner, I dont personally own 1/2" tools, so I bought an adapter to mate from 3/8 --> 1/2 and it worked fine. I know all the instructions in the world tell you to put an allen or something in the hole to hold it back, but I dont intend to do this. I'm just going to pull it back enough to loosen and then slip the belt off.
Worstcase scenario--go buy an air rachet and a compressor if you dont have one. It sounds like you might need this in the future.
good luck to you. Take a break and a breather. Try to enjoy it, and things will go smoother!

skipped around my AC and decided I wanted it back. It's the same belt RRM shipped to me and one that is shorter that I was switching back and forth. The last time I changed the belt I did it with one jackstand and a ratchet, it took all of 10 seconds or so after I could actually get to the tensioner.
