Turbo timer = waste of money

Put the money you'd save into better gauges.

Why do you say that?

I don't agree that a turbo timer is a waste of money, but it depends on what your driving style will be. If you can remember to completely stay off boost at least 5 minutes before you park your car, then you won't need it. If you can't do that, then you'll need to let your car idle before turning it off, which is where the turbo timer would be handy. Personally, I would get one.

seeing as you have a young child I would definitely go with the turbo timer. you HAVE to make sure the engine is taken care of, and with a kid to watch out for the engine shouldn't have to be on the front of your thoughts all the time. You already know that though

turbo timer is deff. not a waste of money. It is the most convienient thing my lancer has... expecially on the cold winter nights, or humid summer after noons.

I feel that for the price (usually under 100 bucks) Its a decently priced mod for what you get IMO

Well, I just figured for our low boost, relatively small turbo application, what are the chances that you would turn off your car just after full boost? I suppose if you track your car then I could see the point. Most Evo guys don't even run one. I guess STI don't need to because they are cooled by coolant/convection after car is turned off.

Also they can be a pain because you (obviously) can't park your car in gear, so there are cases where you'd have to sit in your car anyway just to leave it in gear like on a steep hill.
