He just needs to tune... I didnt notice about the piggy. I still need to tune because the same thing happened to me. I have the Piggyback, but cant use it because I need to tune it.. and im too lazy, shy and secretive to let anyone do it
For leaks, yes I have checked. I had to dip my finger in oil and rub it around the the ouside of the tube to get it into the rubber sleeve going into the manifold. I used VERY LITTLE oil, and I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with this condition. I guess what I'm saying is that I have an extremely tight seal.
If the bend in the tube is slightly kinked and therefore restricted, i would think that would not cause a LEAN condition, because it's restricting air rather than flowing air. In either case, nothing is leaking or restricted.

sorry man, but from the way your car is acting you are going to need fuel management even if you didn't plan on it. either that, or keep it stock

i had this code for the longest time with the CAI.Originally Posted by drewbad

now laugh at me but hear me out,
i lost the o ring on my CAI and wigged for an hour about it (the one that goes around the MAF to be precise) and decided to just throw it back together and drive to pep boys and get a replacement.
i threw the negative back on the battery and was off.
i was a minute from the store and realized that my check engine light had not turned on...
blown away... i chanced it and went a few days without the o-ring.
6 mths later i havent had a check engine light since.
i dunno why, but it was either the lack of O ring or the disconnect + reconnect of the negative on the battery and the ECU re read it all right.
if this doesnt work... there is a how to on how to remove the CEL code, do a search for that.

regular=well, regular; midgrade=good; high test=tune for it or don't waste you money, midgrade is sufficient.

allow me to feel good about my bolt on boy ways.
Yeah.. it was strange... I'm still on the same tank as when the light was on. 1/2 tank to go. I'll polish that off today after driving about 120 miles I'm sure.
I do have a device to clear my code gracefully though. http://www.digimoto.com/ And I have reset the ECU by diconnection a few times...
I'll see what happens as time goes by.

check engine light bad!
car going fast = good
yeah, that lean code is a real pain... i know i was freaking out when this happened to me...
i know they have a CEL eliminator on the RRM page,
but its meant for headers and downpipes...
wonder how much that will help...

OK CEL back on dudes!!!! Highest speed = ~ 90mph... man I stopped to get gas, pulled around some old *** to get gas, so pulled into the second pump close cause I had to 'round the 1st ***.... while I was pumping (93 for the 1st time) dude that I had to pull around ---pulled around me and said some crap out the windows about how I was parked... man I'm pissed at myself for getting so pissed, but I basically told this old **** that I would beat his ***.. and that aint me.. I can be intimidating sometimes at 6'3" 240lbs... but I'm not that type... I'm very gentle.. sounds stupid.. but I almost snapped.. much more to the story---why I was was on the road in the first place... oh boy that's a huge story in itself... anyways I'm probably down to 220 but at 6'3" that looks thin and this dude underestimates my fury.. not that I'm a badass, but I do have some hidden rage... oh yes my friends... some nasty ****in pissed off fury. hehehehehe anyways, go gas, picked up the kids, which changed my mood instantly, and still want to beat this old mans ***.... but why?
Anyways, back to the 1st sentance "=~ 90mph" I know Migue and Dan know what "~" stands for... anyone doesnt know? It's basically "approximate"... ok then... off to the next motha.... I'm too old to act like a beeotch.
