sad day :crap:

well if any of you haven't seen my last post or 2, my control arm snapped about 2 weeks ago sending me into a wall. bla bla bla.

so the shop ordered the parts they needed and were fixing it said it should be done today or monday. and we got a call today and after taking it apart even more. they found a crack in the block

=totaled

now ive been trying to find a new car.

oh yea, im geting around $11400 give or take a few $. did u know they subtract like 450$ if its a manual? thats the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard.

but any ways

found about 4 very nice gti's in the 9k-12k range and called up on them and they were all sold.

but first of coarse i looked up another ra and found one with 52K miles ssame year as mine in the i think thunder gray color (its the real dark grey, charcoal, almost black) and im thinking about this one. i just dont like how i got mine for 10500 with a hair under 3k miles. and this would be good cause then i can take out my pully and intake, throw those on, then throw on the exhaust in my garage. that will save me a whole lot of time and money.

i also found 2, especially 1, very nice se-r spec-v's for pretty darn cheap.

you guys got any other suggestions? i want to spend AT MOST $12,000.

and an es or oz rally just ain't going to cut it for me. (lancer wise)

i would go with another RA. i know in my area you can get a nice GSR(i think thats the older turbo eclipse.) for around 3g. but im just a big RA guy. the only other cars im partial to that arnt mitsus are

Nissan 300ZX
Mazda RX7-RX8
Nissan 240SX

for cheaper tuning wise. ive seen RX8's around here pretty cheap.

DONT get a SE-R....you WILL miss the RA if you do.

If you can find a Nice GST or GSX, inspect it THROUGHLY, drive it, feel it...then money talk...Have some friends that got RIPPED with crankwalked Clipses, bad trannys are another

300ZX, steer away if you dont have the cash to mantain it...gets pretty expensive just to refresh one.

...American cars? must have a v8, unless it is a SRT-4 or a Cobalt SS

I was planning on buying a 2G DSM GST because there are so many parts available for them and because they are fast and cheap and with little money you can have a car easily touching the 400 WHP

May I ask what Mitsu had to say about the control arm? Which arm was it? Feel free to point me to a past post if you've already answered this.
