Unhappy bad news...

well, my GF lost her job today. Apparently small companies can't employ too many people when things get slow, facts of life

In any case, it puts a huge damper on our budget planning, and I need to take some offers on the turbo kit I have assembled. I will have to keep certain things, such as the exhaust components, but I have included everything that is even remotely expensive or hard to source individually. I have also done most of the research for you, so just ask for help if you need it or have any questions in general. I would consider breaking this up, but not unless it is worth it. don't bother pm'ing me if you might be interested in a month, she lost her job today and will have one by then. I don't want to sell the kit, but am smart enough to know when I'm down.

here's the link to the for sale thread.

won smt-6 on ebay, sold the piggy already, sorry guys

this isn't a for sale thread, there is no pricing, I don't expect offers from this thread, the mods for this forum know me well enough, can we leave this here? I posted a link to the for sale thread, and it's obviously going in my sig. If you are going to move this, let me edit this post so it can stay please.

Thanks,
Daniel

the good new is that I just paid for the SMT-6(screw buy it now, I got it for 5$ less than the BIN cost WITH shipping) so I will be able to squeeze a little more power out of the car, or at least be able to tune this knock out of my 5-6000 range. goes up to 10 or so sometimes, not sure why though.

I take my hat off to you.

As much as us guys love our cars (I know I do), you love your gf enough to sell your turbo.

You're a fine example of a woman's man

Absolutely sucks, but wait a bit before you sell stuff off, Dan. She could find another job fairly quickly, hopefully.

I agree as well.

two things though: I either will sell it before she gets a job or I won't sell it. I never intended on going turbo, and now I have a spare head, intake manifold, and camshaft

she's got a BS in Interior Design. She was working for this small kitchen place on Lake Norman. They have been losing money the last few months. Small companies suck and big companies suck I guess work in general sucks too so it makes sense

Juan,
You are right, we aren't married. Like I told her though, I still have at least 60 years to say "man I wish I had put that turbo kit on my car." There is lot's of time to party, right now I am the sole breadwinner and have to plan for the worst possible case ain't life a *****.

I won the SMT-6 last night, like I said already. I got an offer on the piggyback shortly after I posted the information on it I think it's sold, but he went to bed or something before I replied the second time. +1 to the need for speed

I'm excited about this head job too that's helping ease the turbo woes a little. Orlando said his cam should be done this weekend too, so we should be hearing more from him on the custom cam regrind soon as soon as I figure out my induction type I am gonna send mine to the same guy, it seems not too many shops are capable of doing this from scratch. goes back to what I am always saying: you don't know who you can trust. Just because they make camshafts doesn't mean they know what the hell they are doing pretty sorry, huh?

I hope everything works out, i was following up on you going turbo'ed. Life changes to quickly now, I just got let go from my other part time job because I guess the sales figures for this years bike sales aren't good so they had to let go some of their mechanics. Luckily it was one of 2 jobs i had and the one i'm still at is basically full time.

I wish you and your gf the best, tell her to keep on searching for a job, even if you start off small its a start. I started off putting price tags on bikes, but now i was building/repairing them. Job security sucks btw..
Goodluck
