Help! I need advice of any kind...

Ok, so well over a year ago now I got into an accident which i did post about on here. I ran over a curb and messed my stuff up! Then when i moved back home from Hawaii I got around to what i thought was fixing it....

1. Had the right rear control assembly fixed (it was bent and tire was bent inwards)
2. Had wheels all aligned an balanced obviously.
3. After getting a horrible knocking noise and shaky ride, discovered that 2 of my rims were slightly bent. So i bought new set of stockies and had them powdercoated (so sexy!)
4. Car still pulled to the left though and still get a clunking sound, shook above 80mph like tires were out of balance, and it shuddered when i braked above 50mph. So i had car re-aligned and tires balanced)

So now that the car is dialed in and everything is balanced i was finally thinking that my problems were over. But NO....
Ok, so now its like things got worse.
Now when i hit about 45mph you start to feel the same clunking, and as you accelerate past that the clunking gets stronger. And then when you hit about 65 mph the steering wheel starts to shutter violently! Its like my whole upper body is shaking with it. And it does it up from 65 and gets worse all the way up to 85mph. (i am afraid to go any faster). And also when i broke from anywhere in those speeds it just shakes even worse (i would say the steering wheel moves back and forth a good half an inch)

So i figure the braking could be my rotors being warped, but i dunno if that would effect the shuttering when i am driving. A friend of mine said it may be a wheel bearing or maybe one of my axels are bent. But i really don't know, and its driving me crazy. Plus i am a broke college kid, so this really sucks. I have already spent about $1300 on the aforementioned repairs.
Does anybody have a clue what is going on with my car or how to figure out what it is??? I need to fix this.... its making me dislike driving which is very unlike me.
Thanks for the help guys!

Jack up the car and see if there's any play in each of your wheels.

I actually jacked it up yesterday and did exactly that.... I turned both front wheels and tried to see if there was any movement anywhere in the axles or the wheels themselves, and nothing. Could it be in the rear? I mean i dunno if you could would feel a vibration from the rear through the steering wheel though.
I dunno, I am getting nervous that I may just have to face the music and head on over to the dealership and hope they can figure it out.

Probably your wheel bearing as well as the hub assembly might be cracked or damaged somewhere inside where you can't see...

BTW hit a curb in my 02 ES... broke the control arm too...

After fixing the control arm i drove it a little while maybe a week or two...

When the wheel bearing started going out it did the same thing... the steering wheel shuddered especially while braking(the warped rotors had made it worse during braking)... it shuddered by it self at speeds around 60... there was a loud clunking and almost grinding metal on metal sound

after installing the control arm and redoing the whole rotor assembly and bearing as well by myself.. i ended up replacing a control arm and 3 wheel bearings in about 4 months... *kicks self in ***** for not getting alignment done as well as having everything installed professionally...

needless to say I can replace a wheel bearing in about an hour or so... give or take 15 min...

I check my wheel bearings on these cars by jacking up the front end and taking off the wheels. Then I grab the rotor on the top and bottom with both hands. Then pull and push back and forth. If that puppy moves AT ALL, you have a bad wheel bearing. I believe the tech specs for that move is like 5mm or more means that wheel bearing is bad.

so what are the signs of a bad wheel bearing...does it just make a noise or is there violent shaking in the steering wheel as well? at around 35-40 mph, my car makes a "da-da-da-da" type of noise that sounds like coming from the suspension. i've been recently told that it could have been the wheel bearing being damaged rom my recent accident. if it is that, how much does a new one usually cost?

Wheel bearings usually cost around $65 (NOT FROM MITSUBISHI).

To me it sounds like A) something is loose or out of alignment. B) You have new brakes and they weren't seated correctly . I BELIEVE our wheel bearings have to be pressed on and off? I could be wrong. I am pretty sure we only have 1 wheel bearing per wheel as opposed to two though.

man, u just have the answers to all my questions actually, i just had my car realigned today but the sound is still there. everything is in there pretty tight too and no i havent changed my brakes recently.

about a month and a half ago, my car was in an accident. some lady hit the car from the side and bent one of the struts. i ended just having coilovers put on and ever since then, that sound has has been there. i've been told it might be the wheel bearing so i'm gonna go back and have the guys take a look at that.

Based on the info i am getting from you i would check the joints of the axles, ball joints, tie rod ends, inner tie rods, and steering knuckle. If it vibrates at speed and gets worse as you go faster i would say axle because it will spin faster and also change between shifts which will make it worse. Too check the just the center shaft and see if you can move it up and down and around. If you see movement they are bad. All they have inside the rezepa joint is a ball bearing which can be damaged very easy. That is just my diag. based on info.
