next updrade...?
i was thinking of either the RRM header/downpipe combo or the greddy evo2 exhaust...which should i get?
if i was going to get the exhaust id probably get the evo2 but from the axel back if thats available, but would it benefit me more to get a catback to go with the h/d as opposed to the axel back or would it not make that much of a difference?

From what I know the exhaust on our cars is pretty good. The Problem is with the header and down pipe. If it's power and better flow you want then i would get the header and down pipe first. I personally think that the stock exhaust sounds pretty good.
I agree I love the way the stock exhaust sounds but with the header and dp it might change the tone a bit...but ya the only downfall to our exhaust is the header if you have ever looked at it right after the header it almost takes a 90 degree turn before entering the cat...so go with the header and dp
Im boosted an still have the stock setup
i love the way our stock system sounds and i know its a pretty good exhaust setup thats why if anything id just get the axel back evo2 just cause it sounds nicer.
the only thing ive always gottan confused on is what exatly does the header/dowpipe do as far as the cat is concerned? does it eliminate the cat, stop right before the cat? because if it stops before the cat id get the high flow cat to go with the h/d.

I'm pretty sure that it stops right before the cat. I would do the high flow cat with the setup anyways if your going to do it. I say do it right and do it once the first time. Thats just me.

I know this wasn't on your list, but personally I'd get the RRM ported / Polished Intake Manifold. If you already have a CAI and Pulley, next step up is the IM. After that I'd go Header / DP. Personally I'm thinking of leaving the exhaust alone.
and on a side note, what is that "Special order, core charge of $200 required"???
Though I haven't put a PPIM on my R/A yet, I dont' think it will be too hard to do -- though that is depending on your mechanical experience. The DP/Header is definitely easier, but I think you'd see more from the PPIM than the DP/header. Judging from my service guide, I think it would take you about 2.5 hours of work if you have everything. I think once you take off the plastic cover on top, you'll see "how difficult" it really is. In the book it lists a 29 step process. The one thing I'm wondering is how possible it is to do with the engine in the car. I still think it's possible and I'll stick with my 2.5 hour estimate but it sure would be a hell of a lot easier with the engine out
The core charge is because they basically sell the PPIM to you for 550. You send them your old one (so they can port and polish and powder coat it), and they send you your 200 dollars back. It's basically saying your stock IM is worth 200 bucks and if you can get 200 for it.
