CRASHED RalliArt

Last Month I clipped the right fender on a truck and Tore up my fender. Because some jack *** was in my lane and i swerved to miss em. I pushed the truck ten feet spun 90 degrees and then slammed my driver door into a tree to top it all off.

The frame is twisted possibly beyond repair (or worthwhile repairing) But the Engine is in perfect condition 35000Kms. Ill need to repair the whole front end door-door. The insurance company might right it off But i wonder What my options are. Drop t he engine into another body. Look for parts where?? Frame repair?? Sites or Companies would be appreciated. Im in Edmonton AB. Anything local would be awesome but doesnt need to be.

I know shes not pretty but if there anything i can do. Please

Very sorry to hear it man, but sounds like everyone is okay. I'd say it's totalled; what you "could" is by it back after the insurance company totals it and part out what's good...

Good luck!

That sucks! Welcome to the club. I just totaled my lancer off too. I would wait for the adjuster to look at it to see how much damage there is and if it is totaled off the see how much you will get for it. If they offer you somthing like $20,000 for the car it is better to just take the money. My car had OVER $25,000 in damage , yes $25,000 in damage. I bought my car for $25,000 brand new. So for me it was not worth fixing or keeping. Way too much damage. It all depends how much money they are giving you and how much money you invested in it.

Remember your frame consits of 2 metal bars that holds your whole suspension, drivetrain, engine and Chassis together. If you bend your frame it is totaled off for sure becasue you cant just bend the frame of your car back into place. But if you just bent your chassis then it is repairable. But to get your chassis pulled back together, that cost alot of money, it is almost worth it just to replace the chassis but that depends on how bent the chassis is of course.

To me from what i see from those pictures. If they do total it off which they probaly will, i would just take the money. Your car is not worth much damaged.

yeah looks too much damage
what u could do is write it off, but it back, part some stuff out(original interior parts are expensive) rip out the engine and build it up
and use the other money to buy a second hand 05 RA and drop in the biult engine later...

and even if you paid 25K for it or however much you said most of the time it only takes half that for them to total the car...eanything more than that and they think the trade off isn't worth it...i think...

scrap it...from what i can see i dont think itd be worth the money it would take to repair it....claim it as totalled and see how much insurance will give you for it and get another one or something else if you want
