Major interior facelift

Well, all of us ralliart owners are all to familiar with the dash noises, rattles and vibrations. I got tired of mine and after bringing my car into the dealership(warranty) at least 10 times about such noises they gave in and in a week will be taking the dash off and getting behind the guts of the dash to fix the rattles and vibrations...

persistence pays off...

^ +1 on that

All cars in the Lancer's price range are going to have rattles/squeaks/vibration.

Removing the whole dash will only lead to more of these problems...

Forthe most part, the squeaks are associated with the shocks, theres some little palstic part that goes under the shock, as it wears out, this squeaky noise comes. It's annoying, like driving a 10 year old car

unfortunitely all lancers are very cheap in quality, its the price we pay to have a diamond star car

im not talking the vibrations... those are gonna happen. theres just one noise in paticular, and its rattling non stop even on the highway and freshly paved roads... its pi$$ing me off big time

and i could care less about the quality of the car. they have a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty and for those 5 years i expect the car to be running in top condition. thats what there warranty guarantees, thats what should happen. if anyone else is accepting less then ur not getting ur doller value for the car, since they incorporate that warranty into the price of the car.

dont be afraid t tear open the dash worst case you wont be able to put it back as well as stock(very unlikly maybe, small scratches) but i fee l ya on the noises i get some i think 1 is the shocks the other is something in the das not as much the most annoying 1 was the clips on the stock intake tube broke the front part would vibrate i havnt fixed it completly but i zip tied it and it reduced it a bit
